In her capacity as President of the Luxembourg Red Cross, on November 20, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg visited the Red Cross Bazar to thank staff and volunteers for their recent work supporting the Luxembourg Red Cross. The Grand Duchess was accompanied by Princess Marie-Astrid. The 75th edition of the Red Cross Bazar take place in various pop-up stores this year. Red Cross Bazaar is an event that is held every November to raise money for charity purposes.
The Grand Duchess is lovely in this simple elegant attite and her enthusiasm is contagious!

She seems to be very pleased with herself….. What has become of the complaints of the palace staff about her intimidating and utterly unpleasant behaviour?

ReplyDeleteIs it just me or does it look like she spent the pandemic working out? She looks relaxed and appears much slimmer.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing!

¡Que orgulloso estoy de esta preciosa Cubanita! … JR
ReplyDeleteAlways the same jacket and unflattering hair. A no for me.
ReplyDeletePrincess Marie Astrid: a classic beauty in ditto jacket.
Josh
GDMaria-Theresia is not wearing always the same jacket. Perhaps you don't remember her other tops and jackets. Her hair is youthful and suits her better than her longer hair in the past. Princess Marie Astrid is indeed a classic beauty she was beautiful already when she was a little girl. GDHenri her brother is also a very handsome man, always have been. When he and MT are visiting an event together one can see they are still in love with each other, holding hands, smiling at each other. etc..
DeleteThe grand duchess looks great and she is do so many useful things unlike her DIL.

Don’t think for one minute that the grand duchess doesn’t have everything organized just the way she wants it. She gives a rather unpleasant vibe, especially with her unnatural look. Hair, face, teeth everything is not real. Compare this to the wonderful JC who aged gracefully, just like her daughter MA. Also, the rumors have been covered up, but everyone knows it’s not fun working for her. Admirably, her husband stands by her, but I suppose what are his other options, really?
DeleteSometimes I wonder who is the boss in the royal palaces : the staff members, the butlers, the cook, the maid,.... ?
DeleteIt seems it is not only the case in the UK but also in the GDLuxemburg.
If their jobs don't please them they have to go away and find something else like any other employer in the business world. Better than telling stories in the press and possibly getting paid for it....
Cubanita looks not very friendly and her smile are too much.
ReplyDeleteWe must be looking at different photos - she looks perfectly friendly.
DeleteYour use of "Cubanita" as a nickname is this way is definitely insulting, and borderline racist.
G
I agree with Anonymous 17:47 - referring to her as Cubanita in this context sounds as though you are trying to insult her because she is from Cuba.
DeleteShame on you.
DeleteI think she looks very elegant and vivacious, makes the place come alive with that smile.
