On November 15, King Willem-Alexander and Princess Beatrix of The Netherlands attended the 23rd edition of the Dutch Ballet Gala of Stichting Dansersfonds ’79 at the theater DeLaMar in Amsterdam. This year's Dutch Ballet Gala was dedicated to all Dutch dancers and dancers working in the Netherlands, for whom practice and the opportunity to perform have been under pressure due to the corona crisis.
Stichting Dansersfonds ’79, or “Dancer’s Fund” was founded in 1979 by Dutch National Ballet dancers Alexandra Radius and Han Ebbelaar. It aims tto financially support dancers who have to end their dance career due to age reasons or persistent injuries and to encourage and support young dancers. It also offers young dance talent scholarships and cash prizes. One of the means for raising funds is the Dutch Ballet Gala.
ReplyDeleteNice to see Beatrix with the King. But time for him to look after his weight, and for me to get rid of his beard.
ReplyDeleteI think the beard suits him perfectly.

You can see they're mother and son: such similarity in their faces. Would have loved to see PB dress in full, but from what one can see she looks great.

Pss Beatrix looks glamorous, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWillem-Alexander looks different, like it's a different person. ~Laurel~
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful outing with mother and son! Always wonderful to see Pss Beatrix--she's one of my eternal favorite royal ladies. King W-A is looking quite dapper alongside his lovely Mama.
ReplyDeletePrincess Beatrice looks lovely
ReplyDeleteThe king has put on weight and his beard is looking straggly, just like his wife's hair, sad to say. anglica
Princess Beatrix looks wonderful especially on the first 3 photo's. Her hair seems to have a blonder shade than before or is it because of the flash lights from the camera's or the yellow lights in the street ? Anyway she is one of the most elegant older princesses/queens in Europe.
