Lexington Jordan Lyocell Ruffle Blouse and Brielle Lyocell Skirt
Awful. Had it been a dress and without that darn belt it would have been much better, but turning the checked pattern sideways in the skirt looks a mess that makes your eyes hurt. And would these royal ladies PLEASE learn to wear a slip under a skirt or a dress! Otherwise the fabric clings to the body and there is too much information, so to speak. - Ellie
ReplyDeletewhat information do you have that she did not have a slip on, or what information was provided by just these photos that 'there is too much information, so to speak?" cali
DeleteBut Daniel's suit is fab in terms of style and colour! - Ellie
ReplyDeleteYes but @Ellie, Daniel's suit is always the same style and colour.
DeleteIt's his on duty uniform.
With all respects to a super young, handsome Prince, he can do much better.
Awful indeed, this check print dress was a bad choice, the style is old fashion. I have noticed that CP Victoria wears from time to time check pant suit, dresses, etc. she should avoid it.

I like this dress. It appears to be perfectly tailored. The belt, clutch and shoes are very pretty and highlight the plum color in the plaid. Her pearl earrings are gorgeous. Daniel looks good too :-)
ReplyDeleteI find it an adequate outfit for the occasion. It has some originality that fits her well. I prefer this than a boring outfit. Nothing shocking. However not one of my favorites.
ReplyDeletePrincess Victoria seems to be wearing a Lexington checked classic dress.
ReplyDeleteAmerican inspired and design. Well known for durable quality and affordable
price. A country cow-girl look.
For me, it would be a good choice for a four wheel drive holiday in the outback.
Threw my thoughts back to the 1950's film, Annie Get your Gun.
I wouldnt wear that outfit to ride around in the outback, where the wind comes rushing across the plains, the dust gets in every place imaginable, and the horse aka 4-wheel drive would have been bouncing her around like a tennis ball. lol........ I quite like her outfit today, maybe some like it, some don't, but well put together and pretty with the accessories she used. kelli
When I saw the top pictures showing only the top half of the outfit, I was expecting jeans and cowboy boots for the bottom half. Would have been better if the full outfit was shown first as it's not a bad dress, but seeing only half of it first leads to false expectations and then ruins the full look once you see it.
ReplyDelete- Anon 9:13
Yes, Anon 9:13, I experienced some mild agitation when viewing the first photos & then I sat back in my chair when the entire ugly outfit came into view. It looks like the skirt could use a good spray of Static Guard. Poor Daniel looks like he's thinking "Yeah everybody, her outfit is total fug, but she's my wife & I love her." She looked so good in solid dark purple earlier at the Council-of-State meeting. Oh Victoria, please get some help. ~Laurel~
DeleteVery nice, informal , youthful combination,
ReplyDeleteJosh
Terrible.
ReplyDeleteThis fabric only works for either wild west style folklore line dance kind of events or pyjamas.
I also find the combination of blouse and skirt jarring. I have never understood the appeal with checked fabrics used horizontally AND diagonally in the same outfit.
Daniel´s suit is awfully tight, and it clashes with the green of her dress.
Also, I second Elli´s remark about a slip under the dress.
Sorry, it´s a no from me this time.
I do like CP Victoria but can find nothing positive to say about this outfit! Perhaps the skirt with a plain top/jacket might be bearable?
ReplyDeleteI like this a lot on CP Victoria. I agree she needs a slip.
ReplyDeleteYou can get more prettier and flattering skirts and blouses for this price.
ReplyDeleteSorry but this is big NO for me. Especially when styled like this.
Too much everything together. Tight hairstyle, checked fabrics, ruffles, clingy material that clearly need a slip, so it wouldn't clung to her crotch and legs.
Terrrrrriblleeeee. No style at all!
Karin
CPVictoria could have worn this blouse with her black leather skirt she worn lately together with the black leather boots. The checked skirt has to go.
