Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended the 75th anniversary of The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO), held at Oslo City Hall. Upon arrival, the Crown Princess was welcomed by Rector Ole Gustavsen and Oslo's Deputy Mayor Abdullah Alsabeehg. AHO is an autonomous institution within the Norwegian university system. AHO offers three full-time master's programmes in the fields of Architecture, Design and Landscape Architecture. Crown Princess Mette-Marit's outfit is from Italian fashion house Prada.
I believe another skirt would have looked better with the dark colored jacket. The skirt seems too light-weight for this time of year. Mette-Marit's smile and demeanor are always radiant. She is a beautiful person.
ReplyDeleteI agree with all of it.
DeleteAgree with you. Not the best combination, and not for the season either.
DeleteBut good to see her out and about again..

Nice! The lining of the skirt is too short, but other than that, it´s a winner.
ReplyDeleteThis type of lining is trendy.
ReplyDeleteOther than wishing the lining of the skirt was longer, M-M looks gorgeous! Love the whole look. So glad to see her back on the scene and looking so happy and healthy.
ReplyDeleteMM has been way, way back in the closet. The Prada crochet skirt I think is from 2007. And the Prada jacket is at least 10 years old. It just shows clothes can be worn year after year. MM is a good role model to us all.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the short underskirt, but otherwise I love this look on MM.

MM's dress or skirt is not a good choice for this season. The jacket seems to be in a thicker fabric (for what I can see on the photo's) and is not a good combination with the light skirt. Best is to put away this skirt or dress in her dressing room until next summer.

ReplyDeleteI don't think this is one of her successes, though way better than the shapeless stripey thing she wore some days ago. The jacket in itself is fine; the skirt is okay (it probably looks better in real life than in a picture, and the fabric underneath the lace is too short), but the combination is not really good - too harsh a contrast, if you ask me, and photographs badly.
ReplyDeleteMM looks relaxed, and so beautiful. I won't quibble about the skirt, or underskirt being too short, and the fabrics not really matching, its just so nice to see her looking good, enjoying the event. jj
ReplyDeleteThis is so fresh and joyous look on yhe Crown Princess!
ReplyDeleteC.
Crown Princess Mette-Marit looks radiant. Ann
ReplyDeleteLove this black and gold combo on the Crown Princess, and King Olav V's gold Rolex watch.

A happy, enthusiastic appearance compensates a lot if the choice of clothing is not optimal; this is also apparent from these photos. The too short lining of the skirt and the clash of different fabric types are quickly forgotten when you see PMM in the photos above.
