Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, together with a trade delegation consisting of 40 persons, are visiting Rome and Turin cities in Italy on October 18, 19 and 20. The visit is being made to develop the relations between Sweden and Italy. On the second day of the visit, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel visited EnelX and the Open Fiber headquarters (Italian telecommunications company) in Rome. The Crown Princess wore a suit from By Malina.

Elégant tailleur-pantalon gris, chemisier blanc avec une délicate petite ceinture ; c'est parfait avec les bottines en python - Encore une cravate noire pour Daniel ; c'est à croire qu'il ne possède que cette couleur dans son dressing !
ReplyDeleteRe Daniel's tie and double breasted suit and Victoria's snakeskin boots. Looks like they travelled light for their Italian visit.
DeleteMaybe they used a low cost airline with only 15 kilos of cabin baggage allowed. That could explain things.
CP Victoria looks great here. Soft, beautiful pantsuit. I love the way it drapes. This is a little skinny belt done right. And I love the pop of snakeskin with the bootie. I do wish Daniel would broaden is tie collection, he wears a suit so well, broadening his tie colors wouldn't hurt.

Really elegant. I don't even dislike the python boots though I usually hate them when she wears them.
ReplyDeletePants doesn't fit very well. The blazer is a bit too large too. A contrasting blouse deep pink f.ex. could add a bit of color to this very grey outfit.

if the choice has to be between baggy suits or granny dresses I suppose I will have to take the suit. I still think this one is too big. Sleeves too long, too wide over the shoulders and ill fitting pants. Color is nice

Victoria has shown on several occasions that she doesn't mind going for "oversize" clothing, so here is another one.
DeleteThe suite is a lovely color, however it seems rather baggy, a little more tailoring would have been great. The boots from yesterday, look good with the suit today.
ReplyDeleteThis suit looks far too big-not in the deliberately oversized look, but just ill fitting. Agree that a brighter blouse would help but overall disappointing in my view.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteShe has a great athletic figure and this baggy look is unfortunate.

I, too, will take this outfit over a granny dress any day, but I doesn´t mean I like the suit. I find the trousers a bit wide (though better than anything skinny), but my problem is with the jacket. It is too large and most of all, double breasted jackets aren´t meant to be worn unbuttoned.
ReplyDeleteI think these trousers needed a shorter, fitted jacket. Instead, this large jacket with the sides flapping around makes it look like she borrowed the suit from Daniel.
What I do like: the blouse with its beautiful neckline, the belt, the snakeskin shoes (although I would have preferred normal pumps). I also like the sleevelengths of both blouse and jacket.
Daniel´s trousers look awful on him. The pinstripes as such are nice though. I like a patterned suit for a change.
Daniel could've used half a can of Static Guard. I can just sense how clingy his trousers must have felt. Very nice outfit on Victoria & I hope she burned that blue suit from Oct06. ~Laurel~
DeleteIf only the grey suit were Daniel's. If it weren't for the pinstripes, I would wonder if he was still dressed from last night's dinner. ~d
DeleteLove the suit--the drape is beautiful--and Victoria looks great in it. Not a fan of the blouse she chose--a different, maybe brighter color, black, navy, dark green (very popular right now)--and the collar/neckline just didn't work IMHO. Maybe the color would work if it the neckline was different. Then those booties or shooties. I really do not like them but they seem be on her favorites list for this trip. Still, I like the suit. The last photo is a really nice shot of Victoria and Daniel!
ReplyDeleteThose boots are to wear with a skirt not with trousers, in this way they are almost completely hidden
ReplyDeleteFor the total outfit, to me she is ok but the suit is frankly too large for her...
A very elegant and businesslike suit for Victoria, whereas Prince Daniel hasn't changed a bit.
ReplyDeleteThey could pop in some Italian high end boutiques while in Rome and draw inspiration...
