On October 27, 2021, the Duchess of Cornwall attended a reception at Wellcome Collection Museum in London ahead of ‘Shameless Festival’ which will take place on November 27. The festival is a collaboration between Women of the World (WOW) and University of London's SHaME project and aims to bring together activism and art to confront and change attitudes towards sexual violence.
She never looked so good as here, the Duchess.
ReplyDeleteIn the Daily Mail I read that she gave an impressive speech on sexual violence, bravo!
Josh
Fashionwise Camilla is looking great. More importantly: I read her speech somewhere. That was one terrific speech and she is so, so right.
ReplyDeleteAs there's not much to see of the dress, let's focus on the pair of glasses the DC wears: these glasses suit her face wonderful as it softens it.

Yep lets have a shameless festival? Perhaps the title could have been a festival to unite all women to change behaviours towards all types of violence ;as sexual violence can also be among homosexual men; or even nonbinary members of society. What has happened to Camilla's face; she needs some foundation to tone down the orange; too much ambre solaire. The dress is too dark, and that draws attention to her face; a bright outfit stops that from happening

There's nothing wrong with having an event that focuses on women. Artificially expanding that sacred category would be irrational, unloving, and unscientific.
DeleteDon't know what to say about Mrs Johnson's outfit. I think she is expection her second child to her hubby, Boris. Maybe she is doing a fashion mish-mash of whatever falls out of the wardrobe each morning.
ReplyDeleteFrom what little we have seen of her in the media, she doesn't seem to be too interested in fashion.
Example : For her recent wedding (May 2021) to Boris, she wore an attractive full length embroidered white tulle dress and didn't wear any shoes.
The dress, reported to be valued at about €3,000, was on a one day rental and cost about €60 for the day.
I get the impression she has a tongue-in-cheek approach to fashion.
You seem to think she is royalty: why comment on her outfit on this blog??
DeleteJosh
Where do you see that she is considered royalty? There are several pictures of Carrie Johnson at an event where she was present in an official capacity - why shouldn't we comment on what she is wearing? Why do you take the blog name so literally?

Après un petit moment d'hésitation, j'ai fini par reconnaître Madame Johnson qui illumine la photo avec cette veste verte accordée à une petite robe imprimée ; belle chevelure dont le blond me paraît naturel !
ReplyDeleteI can't really see too much of Camilla's outfit to say much other than I think it's fine. Her foundation seems a bit heavy-handed but I suspect that lighting and photo exposure may be contributing to this effect.
ReplyDeleteCarrie Johnson looks fine - I quite like the dress although I don't love the jacket - it's quite boxy. But her options are more limited given her pregnancy.

Hello @Josh. I know that Mrs Johnson isn't royalty.
ReplyDeleteWhat I didn't know was that if a non royal is with a royal on this site, you can not make a fashion comment about the non royal person (in this case Mrs Johnson). Hope I've got it right.
If I 'aint got it right, it confirms what my hubby points out about my lack of intelligence. What I must point out is that my hubby isn't royal but to me he is a prince.
