  1. Another aging turtleneck (the last was CP Mary). Gossamer scarves and soft necklines are flattering and versatile everyone. Unfortunately she already looks tired as we all do, without the brilliant sheath.

    1. I don't think the turtleneck is aging, but the dress is too long.

  2. Dans cette robe de couleur rouge à petit col-roulé, elle a une silhouette de rêve même si je la trouve quelques centimètres trop longue ; avec un petit rafraîchissement dans sa coiffure, elle aurait encore plus d'allure !

  3. Although this is an impeccable outfit in color, fluidity and choice of accessories, I don’t think it does her figure justice, she has a very long torso and this silhouette emphasizes it even more ( quite the opposite of Mathilde), the very long hair makes elongates the effect as well. Can’t say that she looks bad because is not the case, but perhaps a belt or slightly higher waist would make it better?

  4. Beautiful look. The red color is gorgeous, and just a simple, classic silhouette. Her shoes and bag are perfect, that color is so rich and the leather looks so buttery soft.

    2. My feelings exactly! I didn’t care for her hair when she was speaking at the podium, but when she wore it away from her face, she looked stunning. I hope I have her figure in my next life.

  5. Very beautiful choice for the Duchess. I love the turtleneck and the longer sleeves for this top. Such a wonderful cause to address the problem of addiction. It does destroy lives and families. Thank you Kate.

  6. I am not so keen on this for a few reasons. Because Kate is not very curvy, I am not liking a tight turtle neck to emphasize that. Likewise with the skirt. It gives her no shape, and the length elongates her even further. I would rather see a shorter skirt, and a bulkier sweater without a turtleneck. If she wears a turtleneck, I think it looks better layered. A belt may have helped break up the long body line, though I don't think it would have helped enough. I love her choice of accessories, and of course she looks great in red. ~d

  7. Lovely red dress--but I've rarely met a red dress I didn't love. However, like Unknown in the first comment, I don't really like the very high polo neck. I wouldn't call it ageing--just unflattering. (As you get older, a high polo neck can meet a less than perfect jawline in an unhappy match). Shoes and bag are gorgeous. As has been commented elsewhere, while her hair is in beautiful condition, she would look better if it was a few inches shorter cf Crown Princess Mary

  8. This outfit makes her even smaller than she is. The skirt is a bit too long too. A large belt in a contrasting color could help to make her torso less longer. If the turtleneck was replaced by a boat neck it would be more elegant.

  9. I love the red ! Agree with a few that suggested a belt. Maybe something in same colour as the shoes and the bag. That way it would broken up the block colour.
I listened to her speech. She delivered it with compassion and conviction in equal measures! She is coming into her own. It’s a joy to see! Ana

  10. Gorgeous!!! Kate looks amazing as usual--and red is a great color for her. Love how she's paired it with those British tan accessories. I do agree with some other posters here--I'd shorten the hem to mid calf--but maxi dresses are super trendy right now.

  11. Very bold color choice. Would be better if she adds a belt . Prefer her hair a bit shorter though.

  12. The red is great and the turtle neck is ok but i just don't think pleated skirts look good on anyone.

  13. She looks absolutely stunning. I don’t get that turtlenecks are ageing? I love them. I guess I better pull mine out of my drawer and give them away. The red colour looks lovely on her. Most important, what a great cause.

  14. I like the outfit & the turtle neck. It looks so wintery. I love winter fashion & am excited to see the northern/ European winters's latest. It is what the southern hemisphere will follow next winter. Mary

This is a fabulous ensemble, very elegant. Love the Cashmere Turtleneck jumper, with this gorgeous pleated skirt. Skirts like this are a favorite of mine, love the length. Red suits her beautifully. The choice of accessories are the perfect finishing touch.

  16. I applaud Catherine's choice of this beautiful ensemble and accessories.
The colour, the length of the skirt, the turtle neck, the tan pumps and bag , everything looks so stylish and trendy.
What I miss here, as already pointed out in some comments, is a thick belt which could have evaluated the waist line and created a contrast with this flow of red pieces.

  17. El vestido acentua su delgadez, con frecuencia tiene una expresion de cansancio,
el vestido el color, la forma me gusta , mejor un poco mas corto y sin cuello alto.

  18. If it weren't for her bag and shoes, the outfit was a bit too mono-chromatic and therefore overwhelmed. It would have just needed a little additional accessory to break it up and make it a great wintery look, indeed.

  19. I love turtleneck tops, I think they are both practical and versatile. I like the idea for this outfit. Simple, timeless design with the colour being the main feature. I don´t even think that the skirt is too long. However, I think this outfit needs some hips/curves, and she just doesn´t have that. As a result, she looks stick-thin here. The beautiful movement of the skirt cannot compensate for that.

  20. Magnifique, Catherine, dans cet ensemble, très belle couleur.
La jupe est quand même trop longue.

  21. She needs a necklace, broach, scarf, or SOMETHNG, to break up the silhouette and to add some interest the ensemble. A simple string of black (or cream) pearls would do wonders for this outfit.
