  1. William looks great, Catherine looks simply elegant in one of my favorite gowns she has worn. I'm glad that she did not wear expensive jewels to overshadow the theme of saving the earth's environment. These two are unstoppable together.

    1. True. simple but very elegant.

    2. They both look lovely, apparently people that attended were ask not to buy anthing new to wear which they didn't but the ear rings were expensive at 9000 dollars ( this is quoted from Australian news sites). Then maybe that's not expensive to some people.

The Duchess looks fabulous. I love this gown more this rewear, 10 years after the first sighting. She looks sensational. The Duke looks fantastic. They are a lovely couple.

  4. They both look amazing here. Love the individual choices in terms of style and fit, however together they look mismatched, an usual thing for the Cambridges. I think in this case William’s outfit seems the better look for the season and event. Catherine’s look is more summery to my eye, her outfit in a more saturated color would be perfect. Perhaps too I just think it’s wonderful to see him rockin’ the green velvet blazer!

    1. Agree, although I as many others have hoped to see this dress again maybe for this event some of her green gowns would have worked better.

    2. I agree with you here. I am surprised by William's look, quite honestly, since it is different for him. Maybe he will break away from blue suits next. As lovely as Kate looks, I do think a more season appropriate gown, and one working better with William's jacket and turtleneck would have make one cohesive appearance from them. ~d

    3. Glo, I share your view; they both look good, but are a mismatch of two seasons. Will's velvet jacket is fab, and his ensemble excellent, and Kate in her lovely gown seems ready for a summer party in a rose garden. But Will's velvet jacket is the icing on the cake! - Ellie

    5. I agree too. Lovely both on their own, but together they clash, both in terms of colour and style and season-appropriateness. As much as I like Kate´s dress, I wish she had chosen something different to match William´s fancy and interesting but not-too-formal choice.

  5. Love how both the Duke and Duchess look! Modern, fresh look from William. Catherine--refined, elegant, and gorgeous in her gown from 10 yrs ago!!! Perfection from both.

  6. Catherine's gown looks nice both the first time she wore it and again now 10 years later, but today the star for me is her hair. Her long, luscious tresses styled to one side suit her gorgeously.
I normally do like men in velvet jackets but somehow this particular look and styling on William is not doing it for me. It is a nice jacket but...I don't know...just not the way he's wearing it. It needs something more....or different.

  7. I love this couple. They both look wonderful. William's green jacket is symbolic of the purpose of the Earthshot initiative. Catherine's gown is pretty but I agree that a gown of a darker color might have been a better choice. Regardless of their wardrobe choices, they, along with Mr. Attenborough, are at the forefront of this most important cause.

  8. The dress code was ‘not new’ and while this dress is definitely (a) not new and (b) really classy, there are other re wears I would rate more highly. Prince William looks good in this variation on his usual evening dress. Great initiative in looking for innovative ways to solve problems

  9. I love the earrings; the dress is very pretty, Kate appears almost grecian, in style. Not a big fan of velvet suits on men; and a black shirt; but I do like William. David Attenborough certainly makes us realize we need to look after our beautiful world.

  10. This dress maybe a golden oldie but it still looks great & stylish. Again just have to mention I love how she recycles her clothing. The dress just flows it is gorgeous & if I had the opportunity to wear it again & again I certainly would. It goes to show that even a ten year old outfit can pulled out of the wardrobe and still look its best. Everything is well combined. Well done Kate! Mary I

  12. I think I got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning.
    I can only see negatives.
With the dress, I see Cleopatra without all the gold trimmings.
Is it summer in the U.K.?
For the green velvet jacket, no, no, no.
Too old fashioned and too stuffy.
Anyway, I'm going to have a good strong cup of tea then clean my glasses and if I see things differently, I'll re-do my posting.
Now, where did I put the tea bags?

  13. Catherine looks once again simply stunning. Its really great to see this dress again after 10 years. It still fits her and looks flattering on her. And her hair... I LOVE-LOVE how they are styled on one side and those waves look awsome.
William in green suit looks also great.

  14. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's outfits don't quite at all together. William looks like a gentleman farmer and Kate is dressed for a summer night party.

  15. I love the AMQ creation. I was hoping for a re-wear of the dark green Temperley lace gown she wore back in 2017. That would have kept with the colour theme. Plus it was a beautiful gown and Catherine looked beautiful in it ! ( as she does with all her choices).
The lavender seems more fitting to Spring/Summer. I wonder if she chose a lighter shade as not to take the spotlight from William, who looks very dapper! Ana

    1. hmm Ana, if the point is to draw attention to William and not herself then I think the opposite effect is achieved by wearing this dress which is beautiful in color and fit but next to William (and given the season) somewhat misplaced and therefore attracts attention.

    2. When Kate presented the award the floor and stage screen were green trees. A green dress would have disappeared bur her light dress stood out annd the gold belt played on the gold in the award trophies

    3. Ana, I thought of the exact same dark green lace Temperley :). William’s jacket is a great rewear, I actually like it better here than with the bow tie/white shirt before.

  16. Someone has taken in the original blouson effect of that dress and totally spoilt it. Added to that she has swapped the original belt she wore with it for a far more bead encrusted gold coloured one which does not go colour wise and spoils the dress for me further. She looks ok but not the stunning effect of 10 years ago. "If it ain't broke don't fix it." I would say.

  17. Earthshot Prize basically is Prince Williams "baby" and he looked quite the thing in accordance with it. In this case - sorry, but that's how it is - Duchess Catherine was the sidekick and she managed to achieve exactly that: not to overshadow William on the inaugural ceremony of Earthshot Prize! Very well done. She let him shine beside her. That is why she did not choose a green gown as well, just to give him that aura. Lately, velvet evening jackets seem to have experienced a great revival, so he absolutely is up-to-date with fashion. I also like that he donned the black turtle-neck instead of a shirt and bow tie. Very elegant, very sophisticated, very "green", indeed, which was the order of the day. No people were flown in for this event, no one was supposed to wear brand-new clothes, all were asked to don something that has been in their wardrobe anyway or was recycled (like Emma Watson was wearing a top made of several old wedding dresses from Oxfam). It might be that even the green velvet dinner jacket of William was something that had remained hidden in the royal wardrobes for quite some time. If so - good! If not - well, he nevertheless knows how to impress. Loved all of it, also the show itself was great! All thumbs up!

    2. William wore this velvet green jacket to Centerpointe a couple of years age. Then it was with white shirt and bow tie- I like it better here.

  18. Love William's jacket, YES!! He looks attractive , fit, and velvet is back.....The trousers also seem a little more tailored than his usual wear, I hope he continues the trend and stays away from outfits like the ones Charles. Wears : -)
The Duchess looks fine, and a bit uninspired, this dress albeit pretty, does nothing for her figure, and clashes with William's.

  19. A super stylish couple, indeed.

I like the pale lavender dress, and think it enhances the green velvet jacket. Only thing I’d change is her belt. Some green and purple sprinkled throughout the gold beading would have visually connected her dress to his jacket in a subtle way.

Kate’s frizure is beyond elegant, maybe her best ever evening hairstyle to show off earrings.
