The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went abroad in the half-term school holiday last week with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The family were spotted outside the exclusive Windsor Suite on Thursday afternoon, which is located inside London Heathrow Airport's Terminal 5, and reserved specially for the Royal Family. While it's not known where the family went to for the holiday, it is speculated that the Cambridges might be on their way to Greece for the wedding of Princess Diana's godson Prince Philippos.
The Cambridge's trip coincides with October half-term. Prince George and Princess Charlotte currently attend Thomas's Battersea school together, meanwhile, Prince Louis is enrolled at Willcock's Nursery School in South Kensington. The Duchess wore a new diamond geo maxi shirt dress from Me+Em.
What a pretty and comfy dress! It must be quite warm there, as the children wear summery clothes.
ReplyDeleteHappy holiday to the Cambridges and to all families with kids who need a break from the school year and a change of their routine.
ReplyDeleteCould it also be half term in the Netherlands?
Haven't seen anything of our dear Queen Maxima for almost a couple of weeks. Maybe she's enjoying a break with her daughters.
Hope she's O.K.
And as usual, I miss her.
Opps, sorry, Kate's maxi shirt dress is a good choice for a family holiday.
If they get stuck for accommodation, they could use it for camping.
What a mean and catty thing to say about the Duchess of Cambridge's dress! she is supporting small businesses and also modelling beautiful clothing for people that don't have perfect figures.
DeleteNot fan of that dress
ReplyDeleteMe neither. It looks like an old night gown.

This photo was taken without permission, I'm sure. Such an invasion of privacy for this family. My point being, this is NOT a fashion moment.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree. When Royals are publicly performing duties, snap away. Intimate family times such as this should be private. All of us like to travel comfortably, even the Royals.
DeleteI saw these photos a few days ago and was disappointed in the dress. It hasn't grown on me in this time. More of the same dress from Kate. Why can't she travel in a nice pair of pants and flats? ~d
ReplyDeleteNext time she will ask you for advise before leaving...
DeleteUne mignonne robe qui a l'air confortable mais à mon humble avis, avec un petit gilet et plus courte de quelques centimètres, Kate aurait beaucoup plus d'allure !
ReplyDeleteNice normal family in summery clothes.
ReplyDeleteAlways like C. in her long dresses!

I wouldn't wear this dress but it is funny how people act like they have to like every single thing Kate wears and that it is supposed to be something special, this is just a dress to travel in, calm down.

Exaxtly DP!
DeleteI don't like these dresses on anyone no matter what the circumstances are and whether they are queens, princesses or ordinary women.

Catherine is like wife and mother when it comes to dressing. Smart clothes when required, business clothes when required, glam clothes when required, and loose comfortable clothes when required - such as setting off on holiday complete with luggage and 3 excited young children in tow. Just because she is under scrutiny 24/7 (whether she invites such attention or not) doesn't mean she has to break from her clothing choices because of critical eyes.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I'm concerned she looks perfectly (or even more than perfectly) fine.

I love how this could be any family. Normal clothing. Nothing outlandishly expensive and over the top. Hope they have had a great getaway.

Unusually warm in London, it would appear. Or they´re going somewhere tropical. Anyway, they look nice. Everyone needs holidays once in a while.
ReplyDeleteGreece is not tropical, only Mediterranean.
DeleteA Greek
"Amish" family going on vacation!

The dress doesn't look particularly summery; what's with the shoes? Charlotte has it right; summer dress, sandals. Is it the granny; nanny that is also going. Yep Greece is a nice place; especially the islands. Great to see this photo; it is a normal holiday snap. No private jets here. Even if they are in first class; back in the day first class was worth the extra money; not now.(Tara)
