Queen Rania visited the showroom of the organization Turquoise Mountain in Jabal

On October 11, 2021, Queen Rania of Jordan visited the Turquoise Mountain showroom in Jabal in Amman. There, she got together and spoke with a group of local artisans who have benefited from the organization’s training and employment services. Turquoise Mountain started to work in Jordan in 2018, and it currently has 70 employees.

It is an international non-profit organization founded by Prince Charles and its mission is to strengthen global relationships related to cultural heritage by developing traditional skills, providing local employment opportunities, and reviving historical cultural sites. In addition to that, the organization conducts a cultural heritage program for children between the ages of 6 and 16, which educates local young people on Islamic geometric design, traditional embroidery, and micro-mosaics.
