Queen Mathilde took part in the academic session of the Queen Elisabeth Medical Foundation (QEMF) and handed out the QEMF Scientific Prizes for the years of 2020 and 2021 at the Royal Palace in Brussels. The scientific prizes are awarded to support Belgian researchers working in the field of neuroscience. During the session, the researchers who receive research credits from the QEMF were also introduced. (Queen Mathilde wore a new floral-print skirt by Dries Van Noten).
The QEMF focuses on the neurosciences and supports researchers who use the latest techniques to study the functioning of the nervous system, in both its normal and its abnormal state (sleep, developmental disorders, head traumas, spinal cord injuries, brain senescence (ageing), dementia, parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis etc.)
Very nice outfit of QMathilde.
ReplyDeleteEh bien, voilà, délicieuse Mathilde dans ce haut dont la couleur orange se retrouve dans l'imprimé floral de sa nouvelle jupe de Dries Van Noten ; j'aime beaucoup !
ReplyDeleteI don't believe this is a color combination that many have been fond of in the past, but I am a huge fan. The gathered fabric with the draping detail is a very nice option for Mathilde. It draws the eye down and away from her waist. I like that her blouse has a looser tuck as well. The boatneck is giving us a block of color between the waist of the skirt and the top of the blouse, as opposed to an open neckline showing some skin, so she does not appear as short waisted. This is two in a row for me. ~d
ReplyDeleteLovely boat neck. These colors are wonderful for QMathilde. Today she is wearing the orange top with the skirt. She also has a top in the same fabric as the skirt which is also a very good combination. I like the shoes and bag. She also has a matching hat in the same orange.

Great outfit, love the autumn colors
ReplyDeleteAwesome, autumnal colour story. Very nice draping throughout. Q Mathilde looks lovely.

You are all more positive than I. While I like the colour combination, I don't think this "tucked in" style, does anything to flatter Queen Mathilde. I think a longer top would certainly improve the outfit. There's also something sort of unfinished about this look. I can't quite put my finger on it--does it need a jacket? A scarf? Any ideas?
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous ensemble. Marvellous accessories, the Queen looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe yellow shoes are too matchy-matchy. It would have been better with grey shoes IMHO.

ReplyDeleteFrom head to toe, Queen Mathilde looked absolutely gorgeous at this event. The blouse is perfect as worn, and the skirt is beautiful and just the right length. I love her matching shoes.
