  1. Sorry, this is a miss. Too plain, does nothing to hide a 'mom tummy' and the strange shoulder wrap makes it even worse. clara

  2. I love this look on Mathilde. The mini houndstooth is a great print. The attached cape/scarf is a nice touch, but I especially like the upturned pointed cuffs and dark red accessories. Glad she kept the jewelry to a minimum, just the pin.

  3. Nice dress, shoes & handbag. Attached one-sided cape is a distraction and not needed - lose the cape and add a skinny black belt. S.M.

  5. Not a bad dress for the occasion. The wine red clutch and shoes are matching with the grey dress. Diamond earrings and brooch representing cached birds are very sophisticated.
It is a pity that QM or her hairdresser often turns her hair to the outside. This look is making her older. Ocasionnally her hair is turned to the inside like the lady next to her which is far more better for the queen. QM's dress also need special underwear (shape wear or a step-in). In profile the dress seems to fit but when you look at the photo's in front view the part around the belly seems to be too tight.

    1. I fully agree on the hair : turned towards the outside makes her look older, is more old-fashioned.

  7. C'est un très joli petit pied-de-poule de cette simple robe qui aurait peut-être mérité une fine ceinture ; belle touche Bordeaux dans sa pochette et escarpins !

  9. Not a fan of the dress or shawl wrap, makes her look older than she is. Abi

  10. The dress is nice. I think the cape-y thing is designed to make her figure more balanced. Because she has very slim legs, broad hips, a bit of a tummy and not very broad shoulders, naturally the attention goes to her hip/tummy part. By making her shoulders look broader, this would make her hip-part look slimmer. So far my opinion on the idea.
But unfortunately this is such a bad-fitting dress, your attention goes to the much too tight tummy-part.
Poor her. Nothing is wrong with having a body on which you can see she has had four pregnancies. Nothing is wrong with gaining some weight during the menopauze. But it is not nice if you get such bad advice and such bad tailoring.

    1. Advice from stylists ? They do not have to the solution to all situations. I understand she does not want to go the Camilla way : style ok, but always stick to the same cut, same design etc. Go ahead Mathilde with variety, just pay attention to a few basic points, eg no tartan trousers...
