On October 20, 2021, Queen Mathilde attended the commemoration ceremony held on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the White March. Queen Mathilde observed a minute's silence at the ceremony in order to pay tribute to all children who have been victims of disappearances and sexual exploitation. This commemoration took place in front of the memorial sculpture "The Messenger to The Missing Children" in Brussels Park.
The White March was a demonstration in Brussels on 20 October 1996 after serial killer and criminal Marc Dutroux was arrested. The demonstrators wanted better protection for children and a better functioning justice system that could investigate the Dutroux affair independently. This demonstration was called the "White March" because everyone was carrying something white. White was used symbolically, as the color of hope.
I like it all: hairdo, elegant coat, matching shoes and dress, that's Mathilde on her best!

Superbement bien coiffée ; beaucoup d'élégance dans ce manteau avec des chaussures et accessoires de couleur camel !
ReplyDeleteThe camel color of her coat suits QMathilde very well. Very stylish with the matching shoes, clutch, gloves. Hairdo is better today.

This is a great look for Mathilde. Excellent. I really like her hair worn in an up do, it takes years off her. She looks lovely here,

Good look for the Queen: I believe she has worn this coat before, it looks familiar, or maybe one similar. Her hair in an up do is lovely. jj
