On October 07, 2021, Queen Elizabeth, accompanied by The Earl of Wessex, attended a special ceremony on the forecourt of Buckingham Palace to launch the 16th official Queen’s Baton Relay. The Queen and Prince Edward also met the design team behind this year's Queen Baton. The Queen and the Prince are Patron and Vice-Patron of the Commonwealth Games Federation respectively. The Commonwealth Games, first held in 1930, features athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations competing in a variety of sports.
Our darling Queen is looking very thin of late.
ReplyDeleteHer coat needs to be adjusted far too big on her, at present.
I still think her smile is beautiful.
Boys in the family start behaving and stop giving her so much grief, she does not need all this at her age.
Don't forget she has not been widowed very long. Even at such an advanced age, knowing the day was coming, you can't fully prepare for losing your partner/closest advisor of 74 years. I am sure she is still adjusting. ~d
DeleteA vision in orange to gladden the heart on a dull day. She is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYes, just too wonderful for words.
DeleteAnd she looks so smart in her red coat and hat.
Again: great class!
ReplyDelete( Edward seems to me the most sophisticated of her sons),

I completely agree. ~d
DeleteHM looks lovely and refreshed by her stay in Scotland. Her choice of ensemble is perfect for a appearance on an autumn day. Love seeing her supported by Prince Edward in his role of Vice-Patron of the Commonwealth Games. It is wonderful to see HM out and about!
ReplyDeleteI agree, the coat is too big for her, but what a stunning ensemble. No one wears a hat as well as Q. Elizabeth. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteHer mother (the Queen mum) passed down the hat wearing knowledge to her daughter.
DeleteHer smile is just the best! What a cheery spot in the day. She is looking so thin, her clothes need better tailoring. But love the bright outfit, and her fabulous hat as always!

Another striking outfit for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth; the hat is unique. Her family have a good role model if only some of them would follow her lead; good manners and respect for all is not too hard to ask. xxxxx
ReplyDeleteI am not fond of the color orange, however, I made an exception and loved it on the Queen, God Bless her heart! Lovely, loyal,, hard working woman her entire life. Clare
ReplyDeleteThe Queen always looks so elegant. She developed in all these years her own personal style with these vibrant happy colours and hats with flowers, feathers etc. I have the impression by the way that she lost some weight.
ReplyDeleteLa reine a perdu beaucoup de poids .
ReplyDeleteShe's looking very thin and getting really frail, I'm afraid.
