On October 12, 2021, Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Anne attended a Service of Thanksgiving to mark the Centenary of the Royal British Legion (RBL) at Westminster Abbey in London. RBL has been celebrating its 100th Anniversary with a special programme of activity. RBL is a British charity providing financial, social and emotional support to members and veterans of the British Armed Forces, their families and dependants.
Wow - they both look great in these colours!
ReplyDeleteYes, nice autumn colours.
DeleteThey both look very nice. I can't imagine being Prince Andrew's mother at the moment but the Queen seems to be holding up well.
ReplyDeleteI am NOT a fan of prince Andrew however I also beleive he is not the only man that the lady slept with,
DeleteUnfortunately he is easy target as he comes from a famous family.

DeleteIt's true: trafficked children do end up with more than one partner. A shame the famous target themselves at times through their unscrupulous behavior.
DeleteI cannot imagine Her Majesty having no heart or consideration for the Child who was trafficked and whos pimp committed suicide. I imagine she has had A very hard time recently.
The blue ensemble is cheerful and she seems supported by her daughter as usual.

Well, well, never thought I'd see Prince Andrew's name come up in this fashion blog with our "off topic" gossip..
DeleteCharlene, Meghan, Fergy, etc. But 'ain't it good to find somebody new to get our teeth into. And a Prince at that also.
They both look great. Queen Elizabeth looks great in this saturated blue. Love the Queen Mary’s sugarloaf sapphire, Russian brooch.

Élégantes toutes les deux même si je préfère la couleur de la Reine qui porte une superbe broche ; malgré mes recherches, je n'ai pas réussi à trouver son nom ; peut-être que quelqu'une ou quelqu'un pourrait nous en dire plus !
ReplyDeleteSa broche: Queen Mary's Russian sapphire brooch.
DeleteElle a hérité des bijoux lorsque sa grand-mère, la reine Mary, est décédée en 1953.

Je vous remercie beaucoup ; cela va permettre d'étoffer mon petit fichier !
DeleteFirst time I'm seeing the Queen using a cane. I'm glad she's using it and hope all is well. As for their outfits, they both look great - especially Anne, That colour and style suit her.

Both outfits are superb.
ReplyDeleteHer Majesty Is very chic.

I would have preferred self covered buttons on the coat. That gold is distracting me from the stunning brooch. Lets hope the walking stick is only temporary.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely both ladies look! HM is always beautiful in blue--blue makes her eyes sparkle and is very flattering to her complexion. Princess Anne looks terrific in purple. I love their hats too. And, HM is wearing her granny's sapphire brooch--the sapphire and main diamond are so beautiful and big. It is interesting that HM is using a cane--but, at 95, it really shouldn't be a surprise. I hope she has not injured herself but the cane is simply a way to steady a 95 year young special lady.
ReplyDeleteApparently the Queen got out of the car without the help of the cane. Perhaps she used it afterwards to walk on those cobblestones, which can be slippery if they are even slightly damp. The warm smile with which she greets the priest is lovely to see.
ReplyDeleteLove the spirited smile she shows in the 4th photo. Lovely Queen, and her daughter. Outfits both looked wonderful, appropriate for the occasion. jj
ReplyDeleteMay God continue to bless our beloved Queen. I was just an 8 yr old, living in a Commonwealth country when she ascended the Throne. During my student years in England during the 1960s, I witnessed her crying at Aberfan, North Wales. I was really touched by that show of humanity and humility. I will always love her.
ReplyDeleteThey look like sisters. I wonder what Princess Ann will wear when she will have the same age as her mother ?.
