On October 23, 2021, Prince Philippos of Greece, the youngest son of King Constantine II and Queen Anne-Marie, got married to Nina Nastassja Flohr. The religious wedding ceremony took place at the Metropolitan Cathedral of Athens. Prince Philippos works as a hedge fund analyst in New York while Nina Flohr is a creative director for the company VistaJet which was founded by her father, businessman, Thomas Flohr.
Queen Sofia and Infanta Elena, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, Pierre Casiraghi and Tatiana Santo Domingo Casiraghi, Princess Benedikte, Princess Alexandra zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, Count Michael Ahlefeldt-Laurvig-Bille and Alessandra de Osma attended the wedding ceremony. Prince Philippos and Nina Flohr were married civilly on 12 December 2020 in a private ceremony in St. Moritz. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Switzerland, the only guests at the wedding were the couple's fathers.
Gorgeous gown on the bride and everyone was very elegant. In case you don’t know the two maids of honor are the daughters of Princess Alexia and her husband .
ReplyDeleteTuesday 26 Oct: Just stumbled across a video of some of the extracts of the guests at the church.
DeleteLooks like a good time was had by all.

Sorry, not the most attractive wedding gown ever designed. It's boxy and not flattering.
ReplyDeleteMarie
I agree, and it makes her look
Deletepregnant ... maybe she is ? It is almost a year since they were married in a civil ceremony . ❤️
The guest list was surprisingly without the participation of the young close family generation from Denmark/Scandinavia. Strange, IMO.
ML
i'm guessing that she is pregnant, since they've already been married(alas civilly) since almost a year ago.
DeleteYou are right. It's too massive. I liked the dress of Queen Anne-Marie.
DeleteMJ
I agree. I don't like the top of her dress nor her hairstyle.
DeleteMaryel
I agree with ML, I was also quite surprised not to see a larger attendance from the Danish family. Princess Benedikte represents them beautifully but I don't think it is sufficient. I thought that at least the CP couple, as a minimum, should have been there too, it is their first cousin getting married - albeit not the crown prince, but still.... In comparison with the Danes, both Pss Eugenie and Beatrice with their husbands are in attendance, Bea only one month after giving birth (wow, that's quite some commitment!) I read they are friends of the couple since they live in London, but that makes the absence of the Danish cousins even more noticeable. Strange indeed.
DeleteSpeaking of Beatrice and Eugenie, wrong choice of dress from both. The dresses per se are nice but not flattering for their current post-partum body shapes, they draw the attention to all the wrong places. No-no for both of them I am afraid...
Quite like the dress of Queen Anne-Marie as well as that of the mother of the bride, some nice colour coordination going on there.
The bride's dress is a two part story - gorgeous top part with a beautiful décolleté and exquisite beadwork, artfully executed to distract the attention from the pregnant middle section, but it is let down completely by the bottom part and the weird half-bow .... The train and veil fit for a royal princess. They seem so happy and in love. Congratulations to them!
E.d'A.
The dress as such is nice but here it is too voluminous in proportion to her flat hair.
Delete-SaF
Fantastic another royal wedding. Love her hair &, tiara. The dress is lovely. The only critique from the side photo there appears a big bow st the front. This appears a little off but could be wrong. The guests also look great. Congratulations to the newly weds. Mary I
ReplyDeleteSo verliebt die Zwei und alle Gäste sehen gut aus. Sehr schöne Hochzeit.
ReplyDeleteAlessandra is just perfection. The woman in the blue square-necked dress is also gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteEverything is PERFECT
ReplyDeleteWOW
Best Wishes!
C.
Like Queen Anne Marie's dress and that of Princess Benedikte. My favourite is the red dress worn by (I think) Princess Tatiana but the blue fitted dress worn by Maria Olympia? is lovely as well. I'm not overly taken with the bride's dress--too fussy at the front but it looks amazing viewed from the back when you see her in church. Fantastic to see the whole family back n Greece together.
ReplyDeleteIs the bride pregnant? Just wondering due to the shape of the dress. JD
ReplyDeleteThe bride looks radiantly happy. They are a lovely couple. Her bridal gown, has all the elements but too many additions.. sometimes less is more. From what can be seen the embroided collar is stunning. The bow - tied wrap is a fail for me, very distracting. It hides the beautiful embroidered shawl of her collar. The veil/ train is layer over layer. Her hair styled back with this tiara doesn't suit the shape of her face, her hair needed softening. Earrings would have been nice. The bridesmaids gowns I am not a fan of the big yellow flower designs (what it looks to be) combined with the yellow with the shoes, too much..
ReplyDeleteQueen Anne Marie looked stunning, loved her necklace and diamond cross, she is such a beautiful woman. Princess Bene, looked fabulous, so elegant. Loved her gown, gorgeous choice of jewels, particularly the stunning brooch. She gets it right every time.
The bride's gown is not among the most beautiful ones I've seen. Lots of lovely dresses. The York princesses: Eugenie's dress is very tight and shows the tight corset underneath, and Beatrice should definitely have worn a bra. But it was a happy day for all, and I wish the bride and groom happiness for years to come. - Ellie
ReplyDeleteIt’s lovely but such a shame she didn’t wear earrings!
ReplyDeleteIt’s lovely but such a shame she didn’t wear earrings!
ReplyDeleteAgreed.
DeleteP.
It’s lovely but such a shame she didn’t wear earrings!
ReplyDeleteoh dear, Bea needs better chest support, and yes, I understand she is probably nursing, but they do make wonderful supportive nursing bras. clara
ReplyDeleteThat was my first thought too. She could have looked great with the proper support but perhaps it was uncomfortable for her to wear. Still it's a minor quibble. Her dress is beautiful.
Delete- Anon 9:13
In our strange days nursing is something strange, bust is something wrong. Woman must looks like man etc. Why???
DeleteFor me tits are femine and normal.People don't be mean. Please.
Busty Sophia
What a lovely bride! Congratulations to the couple.
ReplyDeleteChel
What a lovely wedding. That's an original wedding dress, very nice, except for the bow which is quite distracting. I really like the neckline. All the guests look really elegant.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes;)
She's not a Beaty Queen IMO.
Lina
Charming.
DeleteSome things don't need to be said...
@Lina . Nobody asked the question if she was a beauty queen.
DeleteSo why do you bring up the subject?
"Some things don't need to be said..."
DeleteWhy? It's true. To be honest she's not a beauty.
Lina
Lina
DeleteThis was a wedding, not a beauty contest.
Maybe you googled the wrong site??
P.
Looks like we all got it wrong.
DeleteThought it was a wedding but thanks to @Lina, it appears to be the final round in Miss Greece 2021
Oh girls... I think that she is ugly. Can I have my own opinion??
DeleteLina
Rude, vicious anonymous( Lina??),i suppose you are a beauty queen..Please show us your beauty pegeant trophies..Shame,because you claim to be a woman and you judge another for her appearence ...
DeleteWhat did beauty queens do to Lina?
Delete@Lina You are lacking decency and manners. Since you asked, yes, you may have your own opinion. This is the kind that is kept to oneself. I'll bet a preschool in your area would be willing to let you attend until can learn some of these basic skills, providing you promise to behave. ~d
DeleteYes, I am beauty Queen.
DeleteHave a nice day;) relax
Lina
It's a sure bet you didn't win Miss Congeniality.
DeleteMaybe but I'm more pretty than the bride.
DeleteLina
No, you aren't Lina. You're ugly - I can tell.
DeleteG
To mystery G
DeleteHahaha. How do you know??
I'm beauty and I know it.
It called confidence.
Have a nice day.
Lina
You are very nasty. I suggest you educate yourself a bit better and learn how to spell Beauty for starters.
DeleteBecause trolls aren't beauties - that's how I can tell, Lina.
DeleteIt's not called confidence - it's called arrogance. Or delusion...
G, International Woman of Mystery
It's not called arrogance.
DeleteIt's called true about the bride. Verstehen??
End of discussion for me.
Please don't write to me anymore.
Lina
I just wonder how and why all this is permitted on this site, since it has nothing to do with freedom of speech but with arrogance ,bad manners and trolling.
DeleteWhen will all this end?
P.
I guess I can only glorify.
DeleteIf not you call me troll.
Lina
Alessandra de Osma looks fantastic in red. There were some more beautiful looks, e.g Princess Benedikte.
ReplyDeleteNot fan of the brides dress, there's smth about it that look off (it looked like they tried to hide baby bump) nor Im not fan of the hairstyle. Sorry but this was not tiara hair for me.
Kaarin
Beaucoup d'élégance en particulier la magnifique Alessandra de Osma et comme d'habitude, la princesse Benedikte qui ne me déçoit pas - Tous mes vœux de bonheur à ce nouveau couple !
ReplyDeleteSorry but that wedding dress is so ugly...........
ReplyDeleteEverybody looks wonderful, gorgeous bride and also Beatrice, Eugenie and their husbands are lovely.
ReplyDeleteP.
I wore an empire waist gown in cotton with a tulle shawl shoulder for my wedding also, It's a Renaissance style. She does it beautifully.
ReplyDeleteC.
Princess Theodora looks beautiful in her simple and elegant light blue dress, as does her elder sister princess Alexia in her navy blue one.
ReplyDeleteThe bridesmaids are Princess Alexia's youngest daughters, Ana María y Amelia Morales y de Grecia.
ReplyDeleteThe trouble with arrogance is that the people who suffer from it don't realise it.
DeleteIt isn't the truth - it's your opinion, beauty is subjective. And again, back to the point that not everything needs to be said. A point that has gone sailing way over your head - because you're arrogant (or thick as wallpaper paste).
Verstehen? Probably not - see above for reasons why.
Feel free to not reply...

Apologies @Sakurahime - don't know why my reply to the troll has appeared here.

Dear G
DeleteIf you think I should change the way I am, just to please you, you know I won't do that.
Unlike you I'm free.
You can say what you want, judge me, but I won't despair.
Lina
I thought you weren't going to continue the discussion. Is that much vaunted confidence slipping?
DeleteI don't need your permission to judge you because I too am free to think what I like. Which is that you're a nasty, superficial, not very bright troll.
End of discussion - unless you reply.
Please don't write to me any more - I shall have to exercise my freedom to respond. Verstehen?
Happy no despairing.

I'm sorry but I hate it. It looks she was showering, got late, put a robe, rememebered she was marrying a prince and put a tiara and rushed to the church. A pitty, as they seem so in love.

DeleteAnon 18:44, 😂😂🤣😂😂
Congratulations to the happy couple, and their families!!
ReplyDeleteGod live the King Constantine of Greece!!
Wellcome YRH princess Nina of Greece and Denmark!
This was their third wedding and yes, she is pregnant.
ReplyDeleteThird? Second..
DeleteLina Elina
Nope, third, Lina. They were married civilly in Switzerland last December, then had another rather informal ceremony in England last spring, and now this church wedding.
DeleteThe "ceremony" in England in the springtime was not a ceremony at all. It was a picnic/ reception for friends, complete with wedding cake. So there was a civil ceremony in December 2020 and an Orthodox church service over the weekend.
DeleteTwo weddings...as per tradition.
What a beautiful bride! All bridal dresses do not have to look the same. I find this one gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteA lovely bridal ensemble, whose proportions and fabric are unique and striking. The only thing I’d add would be earrings to complement the pretty tiara.
I also really like the bridesmaids dresses and the blue flowers in their hair.
Best wishes to the happy couple.

I know I am in the minority but I love the brides Chanel outfit. My favourites are the red dress with green jewels and Benedikte's gorgeous green velvet.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see Count and Countess Mapelli ;actually I like Beatrice's dress. I like all of the lovely colours and styles of the ladies dresses. The bride looks stunning, however I don't like the bardot style neck line and a weird bow .The flower girls and page boys look cute; I am not sure what the pattern is on the bridesmaids dresses. Prince Philippos looks good .A good reason to have a party; it is good to see a smattering of European royals; as they say "clinging on to the last bastions".
ReplyDeleteThe Spanish Royal family is not there either, only Queen Emérita Sofía and they are cousins. Sofía was born as Princess from Greece and Denmark, It must be the protocol.
ReplyDeleteLouise
And Princess Elena?
Delete* Infanta Elena
DeleteP.
Infanta Elena is not Royal Family, only Family of the King. So the Royal Family did not attend, only Queen Sofía. Felipe, Letizia, their daughters and the former Queen and King are te Royals, since Felipe VI is the King.

While not pictured here, I think Alexia's eldest daughter Arrietta was the best dressed amongst the family. And the Hanover ladies simply were gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteMimi
Arrietta appears in the ninth foto counting from the top. She's the lovely girl in a beautiful aqua dress. The young man acting as her chevalier is her brother Carlos. In the same foto appear akso their parents, princess Alexia and her husband Carlos Morales.
Delete@Sakurahime, you are right, I missed the photo. All the children of Princess Alexia looks lovely. It is nice to see them all grown up!

As I see many of you like to fight on this site.
ReplyDeleteAva
@Ava. I think that most blogs are the same.
DeleteA problem on this site is reading stupid comments from people which have no relation to fashion.
AND the anonymous and/or no nick name bloggers who are not blocked by our moderator.
And some people are just smug.
DeleteNo nick
Blocked?? Why? Everyone has right to has very own opinion.
DeleteLina
I agree deadeggs. Some comments have no purpose on here. When they are allowed to be posted, others call them out, resulting in the back and forth. It would be much easier to block them in the first place. ~d
DeleteTo have three weddings you have to take yourself very seriously,
ReplyDeleteApologizing, my comment is not about fashion, but a possible explanation about some royals attending or not:
ReplyDelete1) protocol: as prince Philippos is not a crown prince it's not obligatory for a crown prince from any other country to attend; a younger prince would be protocolary right. This can be seen eg. in the British attendance - not the future king, but Beatrice and Eugenie, the nearest relatives of similar age to groom and bride. (I know that Greece is now a republic, but even if it still were a monarchy, the crown prince would be Pavlos, not Philippos).
2) reigning monarchies vs. ex-monarchies. The number of senior (working) royals in continental monarchies is limited and they have rather busy timetable. So they choose to send a family member who is not "fully progammed" (eg. Benedikte). The royals of ex-monarchies have much more free time.
It also seems that belonging to the same age group, being relatives/friends or living nearby (eg. London, Madrid, Switzerland) has had a meaning in getting an invitation.
Margot
Thanks @Margot for the information.
