Crown Princess Mary made a 2-day visit to Burkina Faso together with Minister for Development Aid Flemming Møller Mortensen on October 28 and 29. The purpose of the trip was to focus on girls' and women's health and rights in a region characterized by poverty, unrest and climate change. On the first day of the visit, the Crown Princess visited a publicly run health center, the CSPS.
On the second day of the visit, Crown Princess Mary and Minister Flemming Møller Mortensen were received by Burkina Faso's President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré at the Presidential Palace in the capital Ouagadougo.
Afterwards, the Crown Princess visited a local girls' club on the outskirts of Ouagadougou, where she listened to the stories of young girls who have experienced child marriage, violence or circumcision.
Thereafter, Crown Princess Mary met with a youth panel's representatives for lunch and had the opportunity to discuss Burkina Faso's situation from a youth perspective.
In the afternoon, the Crown Princess visited a counseling center, the ABBEF Center, in Ouagadougou. The visit to Burkina Faso ended with a reception at the residence of Denmark's ambassador to the country, Steen Sonne Andersen.
I cannot find fault with any of Marys outfits on this visit. Besides looking beautiful on her, they are more importantly appropriate and in tandem to the purpose of her visit as well as the climate and environment. Not ostentatious and still elegant. Nicely done.

Agree with everything said here. Love she is wearing H&M also. Every outfit is superbly put together. Also like to add Mary's hair looks great & much prefer this length. Mary

DeleteWhat else would
you have expected - than pants and blouses
..... 🤔
it is still exclusive designs from Hugo Boss and Julie F.
Brands, which is not known for its consideration for the environment and working conditions
But the most important thing is also to show pictures of and from CP Mary's visit in Burkina Faso .... after in the media.
Yes, Mary looks good in her chosen outfits.

I wouldn't dare disagree, my life would be at risk.
DeleteBut seriously, I'd give her fashion presentation as 10/10.
And as @Sharni said in her comment "Well done to the stylists team".
It's also 10/10 from me for the purpose of her visit.
A bit off topic but below is a brief explaination of the current link between Denmark and Burkina Faso (source Wikipedia)
Burkina Faso has, since 1973, been in a development cooperation with Denmark, and a programme country since 1993. Assistance for Burkina Faso was 233 million DKK in 2010; in 2013, Denmark assisted with 250 million DKK.
Denmark's main support is towards poverty reduction, through the Danish and Burkinabe Development Cooperation.Denmark also has an agriculture programme in Burkina Faso.
Several agreements have been signed between Denmark and Burkina Faso.
The official language spoken in Burkina Faso is French. But all in all there are about 70 different languages spoken, mostly in small regional areas.
ReplyDeleteWell done, M!

Perfectly suited wardrobe for this trip.
ReplyDeleteWell done to the stylists team.
Mary looks lovely. She is so caring and kind. I'm sure she travels with security but it is still very dangerous to travel here, congratulation on doing a great job. Her clothes are casual and stylish but appropriate, she meets these people as their equal.
ReplyDeleteShe looks more polished with shoulder length hair. Abby
ReplyDeleteI love all the outfits. My favourites are the beige pants, the V-sneakers and the Julie Fagerholt blouse. MJ
ReplyDeleteYes, the wardrobe is fine ... but such a long distance flight for just a two-day stay ... :-(
ReplyDeleteIt is obvious that you would not wear Prada and sky high Gianvito Rossis when visiting Burkina Faso as a Royal but I think it is a little hypocritical to seek praise for wearing for example H&M to show modesty because the brand new accessoires worn with it are certainly not H&M but extremely expensive brands.

DeletePrincess Mary looks good in all the choices of outfits. It fascinates me when these people go to these countries; its like Bono they expect everybody to know them. It would be better if money was put toward the education system; talkfests don't work.
ReplyDeleteDenmark is a big financial contributer to Burkina Faso for social, agriculture and other reasons.
