Crown Princess Elisabeth of Belgium, the 19 years old daughter of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, started her university education at Oxford University’s Lincoln College in the U.K. There, the Princess will study History and Politics in the next 3 years. The Belgian Royal Court released new photos of the Princess taken in Oxford.
The photos show the Crown Princess together with some of her new classmates at some of the college’s most iconic locations, including the Lodge, the Front Quad, the Grove and Radcliffe Square.
The Lodge is the entrance and reception hall for Lincoln College. There, the students receive their mails and other important announcements. The Front Quad provides access to different parts of the college, including the dining hall and the Grove, which is the center of the college where students gather. The famous Radcliffe Square is for pedestrians only.
Bella ragazza, beata lei che può studiare ad Oxford!
ReplyDeleteI like her outfits. So young and dynamic. She has that natural elegance. I wish her all the best during these 3 years : success for her studies, lots of fun with her new fellow students. It seems to me that she will make very quickly a lot of friends. Marcy
ReplyDeleteShe looks great, like any typical young adult. They also released a video. Her English is very good and fluent (Mathilde and Philippe speak English with a very French accent). The Belgian monarchy is doing a great job by releasing some video and photo material on moments like this. Now she can study 'undercover'. I wish her all the best in this special time of her life.
ReplyDeleteC'est vraiment une ravissante princesse bien de son époque dans une jolie tenue d'étudiante !
ReplyDeleteHow to be incredibly casually elegant and look like it is with no effort at all. I am truly impressed with her dress sense and she manages it without being six feet tall and reed thin.
ReplyDeleteSkinny jeans have been in fashion for some years now and I think we´re witnessing that era coming to an end and baggy 80s/early 90s style jeans making a re-appearance. I actually like neither, but it is interesting how the two styles overlap for a while before the one replaces the other (at least that is my prediction).
ReplyDeleteVery sensible decision of the Belgian king and Queen to let their daughter study in an other country, where she can be who she is without the “ royalty”.
ReplyDeleteAs you see in these pictures she takes her chance and enjoys it: lovely princess!

I hope she enjoys her university years &, the challenges that await her. What a fantastic place to be. Mary I
ReplyDeleteShe's grown into a confident young lady. Love her jacket. Very autumn vibe...
ReplyDeleteThis and the next couple of years while she is studying is about as normal a life as she will have with any commoner before her royal duties as next in line will become more influential in her life, so it is very nice to see her enjoying herself with relative freedom to do as she pleases for now. She looks happy and I couldn't be happier for her!

She's one good-looking-clothed-lady. My feeling says she inherated Paola's fashion-genes, an icon, I suspect this era will be repeated ( hope so).
ReplyDeleteHer last trousers are very quirky ( the same in what kind of friends you have, show who you are haha). -Anna-
She is gorgeous, lucky he whom will one day get on one knee to dedicate his entire life to her majesty. I can't wait to see her wedding.
ReplyDeleteWedding ??? She is only 19 years old. I hope she will first enjoy her youth and that bit of freedom she has at the moment. I hope her father will be king for a very long time so that she will get used slowly to all the future responsibilities of a crown princess and a queen.

What great pics. Lucky girl to be able to study in such a great place with relative anonymity as it's not her own country. Intelligent, confident and gorgeous--she's definitely a star of the future.
ReplyDeleteNice photos, though all posed for publicity. Still nice to see a young college woman dressed appropriately, ready to step into the next challenges of her life. jj
