On September 30, Queen Máxima attended the launch of Manifesto of Hoofdzaken in De Remise in The Hague. Hoofdzaken (Main Matters Manifesto) was created by the Brain Foundation, MIND and ZonMw. By the program Hoofdzaken, these organizations aim to set up a national knowledge and innovation program for brain and/or psychological health and also to promote collaboration between disciplines such as psychiatry, psychology and neurology to improve the quality of research and care.
After the launch of the manifesto, Queen Máxima attended three roundtable meetings with professors, psychiatrists, scientists and patients, about their experiences with care and treatment methods, various researches and their opinions about the manifesto.
Except from her warm and friendly smile a big NO for the top. Trousers okay but a pity that they have lots of wrinkles. The colour combination is not refined either.
ReplyDeleteWhat should she do? Carry an iron in the car for when she gets out?
DeleteOr do you recommend she wear 100% polyester all the time? That would never wrinkle.
Agree with Mary 100%
DeleteNice top and hair, bad styling with the trousers and the belt,
ReplyDeleteJosh
This could have been such an elegant, classic look. But she Maxed it, lol. That shirt does not look right with a belt over it. If it had just been tucked in with the belt on the trousers, great. And all that huge jewelry looks cheap (which it probably isn't). But I do like the ponytail.
ReplyDeleteChel
I wish the scrunchie was black although I am not a big fan of them!
ReplyDeleteWow! Talk about nitpicking! If she had worn a black one I bet others would comment that she should wear one that blends with her hair, right?
DeleteThis is beyond ugly, I am really sorry to say. The idea of throwing a belt around a wide blouse, meant to wear inside a pencil skirt or fitting trousers, is such poor choice. I am flabbergasted that someone with a clothing budget of tons of euro’s cannot come up with anything better than this….. hair styled with a ponytail in an elastic band! And as more often than not, everything is wrinkled and too short (the trousers) in ill fitting colours. The cheeks are, on the contrary, overfilled. What a mess.
ReplyDeleteLily T.
Overfilled what???
DeleteLol
Cette fois, jolie ceinture sur cette tunique dont la couleur que j'adore, va très bien avec sa blondeur ; j'aime bien ses cheveux attachés en queue de cheval basse décontractée !
ReplyDeleteThe outfit is nice and looks stylish. I´d prefer a bigger contrast between top and bottom colourwise, but the two pieces still work together.
ReplyDeleteWhat strikes me here is her rather tame make-up which looks a million times better than her usual heavy face-paint. I also prefer this very simple but orderly hairstyle over her messy stringy hair just hanging down.
Her earrings are too big. But the teal colour looks good with her colouring.
I agree on almost everything, earrings are ok for me.
DeleteApparently there isn't a steamer or iron in the palace.
ReplyDeleteShe looks unkempt and it's just sad.
Marie
Apparently she just came out of a car not a palace...
DeleteMagnifique Maxima !
ReplyDeleteI like the blouse though not with the grey trousers. Overall i think the relative simplicity of the outfit and hair up makes for a relatively queenly appearance today. Km
ReplyDeleteCircus earrings. I hope that one day a thief steals all of Maxima's earrings and they will never be found again. The clothes are too shiny, dark and wrinkled. Princess Mary from Denmark could give her fashion advice or lend her a good stylist.
ReplyDeleteStephanie
Or maybe the Queen could lend some smile to the princess....

Wow! I love this outfit! Very Maxima but not over the top.
ReplyDeleteYes not too much over the top but Maxima's trade mark is there.
DeleteShe will always be my fovourite "fun" queen.
The colors are beautiful and I love the earrings. Unfortunately the pants are wrinkled but when you ride in a car that happens. She looks good and her hair is acceptable.
ReplyDeleteAgree with both of you but also happy with the earrings
DeleteHair tie: quite 'every day' even I wouldnt wear it around the house, certainly not for a royal to be sporting to an occasion.
ReplyDeleteBlouse/shirt: Material is a lovely color, though it does not go well with the trousers, and the hair tie does nothing for the blouse.
Trousers: wrinkled mess, not compatable with the top, the hair tie, or anything else.
Earrings: Lovely, match the top color wise, but when you look at the earrings with the hair tie, it really brings down the earrings and makes the hair tie stand out in a negative way.
Shoes: Lovely color, should have worn pants in that color, ones that don't wrinkle, and don't have cuffs. Would have tied the outfit more together, minus that terrible hair tie. dani
ps: the side view of her hair pulled back, with the terrible hair tie, shows her extensions. "bad form" Dani
ReplyDeleteThe last photo of her is beautiful because she has such a lovely smile but I honestly do not care for this outfit, beyond saying it's a nice shade of peacock blue. I think it could have been made better but a pencil skirt in a contrasting color. Then, the earrings could have worked too. This is a miss for me even though her figure it looking good here. The hair band is a miss.
ReplyDeleteZo rommelig, je ziet overduidelijk dat ze een pruik draagt. Poekie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colour on Maxima. Not sure if I like the earrings… otherwise everything looks quite nice.
ReplyDeleteCH
She has the most beautiful smile, I am sure she makes people who meet her feel so special.
ReplyDeleteHer outfit I am not sure about.
But it wouldn't be Maxima without her large earrings and she has a large personality and they suit her, she doesn't do classic she is not that sort of woman.
She always makes a statement.
