Danish Queen Margrethe presented the Rungstedlund Prize 2021 in Rungsted. Each year, the Rungstedlund Prize is awarded to a person who has helped to spread the knowledge of Karen Blixen or who has excelled in a field that was of interest to Karen Blixen. The prize includes a total of 50,000 kroner. The Rungstedlund Award was founded by the Rungstedlund Foundation (Rungstedlundfonden) in 1991.
The Rungstedlund Award was first awarded by Hørsholm Municipality on the occasion of the opening of the Karen Blixen Museum and was first presented in 1991. The Queen is patron of the Rungstedlund Foundation.
Baroness Karen Christenze von Blixen-Finecke (1885 - 1962) was a Danish author who wrote works in Danish and English. She is best known under her pen names Isak Dinesen, used in English-speaking countries, and Tania Blixen, used in German-speaking countries.
The Queen is looking great this summer. Love the peach and navy colour scheme. Also like the brown patterned dress of the lady in the second and third pics.
