  1. Bella, ma postura troppo “rigida”.

The best of today's appearance, her speech. Free flowing, a bit of humor, perfect diction.
Reaction to people singing Happy Birthday in Pic 2.
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY QL!!
Happy Birthday to P. Harry and P. Daniel also.

Inserting oneself into the story is not a fashion comment.

Aunque algunos españoles no la pueden ver , hace el papel de embajadora de la moda española muy bien .

    1. I suppose that in other monarchies there will also be people who do not support their consorts or their own princes. What is the point of the comment?

  9. The Queen looks great, as usual. Her denim dress, accented by the red belt and shoes, is perfect for such an occasion.

For me this is the best model for Letizia. Covered arms and right length to see her stunning legs. She looks so elegant and sportive.

    1. I agree with elegant and sporty and that the Queen has great legs but why would she need to cover her arms? She must have the best arms of any royal, (though the Duchess of Cambridge looked pretty good in a sleeveless top earlier in the summer)

  12. Plus élégamment portée par Letizia que par le mannequin ; belle allure avec la petite ceinture et les magnifiques escarpins classiques déjà portés ; j'adore leur couleur !

  13. Having seen Letizia in such a beautiful flowing look yesterday it is difficult to consider this dress. I eventually realise that this is one of Letizia's strengths. She creates a whole outfit and tailors it to the occasion. This is perfect in every way for a event at the faculty where the queen studied journalism.

  14. Lovely speech and she looked happy to go back to her old Communication Sciences faculty. He has been very emotional and the queen was beautiful. Those shoes are so cute. And a wonderful diction and a great way of expressing himself. She is a great queen, but in return we have lost a great communicator-

WOW Effekt! Was ich schade finde, dass sie so gar keinen Nagellack einsetzt. Zumindest bei den hochrangigsten Terminen.

Wearing denim gives her a youth-vibe. Looks younger ( by the way) than she is.
No complains by K. Felipe I think. With different belt, shoes it can be an never ending play ( if you are perceptive).
Nice accent too: thanking with whole my heart gesture. Maybe a real queen of hearts. -Anna-

    2. I agree Anna, this dress will forever be in fashion as there are infinite styling options. I like the pop of red myself. The dark denim color looks fantastic. Beautiful as ways. And her hair, so shiny and sleek.

I have the idea that this dress requires a more pronounced belt and can be better combined with the sportier espandrilles

    At Angie 15/9/21 13:35

It's starting to get irritating Angie, that readers of this blog can't give their honest opinion about what QL is wearing without you telling them they aren't correct or even suggesting that they are constantly intentionally insulting the Spanish Queen. By writing "attempt failed, try again" you give the impression that giving an honest opinion is a kind of competition and that people (in this case me) are deliberately always criticizing what QL is wearing. This is so untrue! Let's agree that everyone on this blog is entitled to have an opinion of its own which we sometimes share and sometimes don't share.

@MCS Picture this! You graduate from one of the best colleges in Madrid and achieve some success in your chosen field, then give it up to marry a 'prince.' You are invited to receive an honor as well as give honors to others. It is an event that will have faculty, some of your former colleague, and a young audience. You show up in a tailored denim dress, and espadrilles with all that ribbon around your legs? at the end of summer? on stage? to give a speech? horrorso!!
My apologies, but always consider the venue, and the style of the subject you are attempting to dress so as not to make them look ridiculous.
That said, the wearing of denim has gone from just laborers to across all socioeconomic levels of society. It can be dressed up, or down to suit almost any occasion, and even has a place in home goods.

Agree with you, July. I too consider it important to dress for the occasion, but I wouldn't wear a denim dress in this case. To me a denim dress is for less formal occasions and for me combining it with high heels and a simple belt doesn't make it a proper outfit for this visit.

If she reads this, she may take your preferences into account in the future. Yet espadrilles would have dressed it up for the awards ceremony. Lol. The days of brocade. crinoline underskirts and hand made lace trim for royal events are over.
      July.
