On September 19, 2021, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall attended a service of thanksgiving and rededication at Westminster Abbey, Church House, in London, held on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The Prince has been Patron of the Battle of Britain Fighter Association since 2003. This annual service commemorates the victory, and loss of life, by the Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain in 1940.
Beautiful outfit. The striped coat is amazing (can't believe I actually said that!) and the hat is wonderful. Although the Duchess of Cornwall has always maintained that she has no real interest in fashion, when you look at the variety of outfits and how good she looks in them--from the red tartan edged coat in Portree to this shimmering beauty) I would respectfully suggest that she's wrong!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't have said it better
DeleteAbsolutely agreed! She looks fantastic here. Love that hat and that coat is just beautiful.

Love the fabric of this dress

Fantastic except for the shoes
ReplyDeleteI agree. But there is something else; the padding on the shoulders is too thick. A thinner padding would have been better. The red coat in Portree had also a padding that is too thick. As for the shoes : she should invest in a pair of comfortable navy or black shoes. Marcy
DeleteLovely couple. What do we do if Prince Charles dies before Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.(Tara)
ReplyDeleteThe Duchess of Cornwall wore the same suit on the first day of Royal Ascot this year (June 15, 2021).
ReplyDeleteYep, she sure did. Same pearl necklace. Same shoes ??
DeleteI am happy to see royals reuse their expensive outfits . Take a lesson from Princess Anne's playbook! And loved Camilla's hat.
DeleteYes, all was strictely the same : striped dress, hat, mask, necklace, clutch bag and shoes.
DeleteCamilla looks really lovely in this striped dresscoat with the charming hat,

Excellent look for the duchess, but again the colour of the shoes is a mismatch with the coat and dress imo. It can't be that hard to order a couple of pairs of these comfortable shoes for her in different colours to make sure they match well with what she's wearing

Don't worry. The boots will be back any day now.
Delete@Deadeggs, without any doubt you're 100 % correct I'm afraid

ReplyDeleteThe Duchess looks wonderful in this striped coat and baby blue hat. Her pearl necklace with diamond clasp is gorgeous, but the other necklace peeking out from under it is distracting.
ReplyDeleteLove the hat!

... And now that I look at them more closely, I'm not liking the shoes with this outfit either. They don't really coordinate with the rest of the outfit and they're not a "pop of color" soooo ... a "no" vote from me on the shoes.

Sie trägt bequeme Schuhe und ja, sie darf das in ihrem Alter. Sie muss keine trendy Highheels mehr tragen.
ReplyDeleteThis ‘striped’ coat is actually made of ribbons sewn to the backing fabric. It has a wonderful rich look..fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWhat’s with the second necklace? Otherwise she looks her polished and rather elegant self. The colour is just a bit too icy for her hair colour in my opinion.
