      She looks smashing good!

But poor her for having to walk around in these uncomfortabe heels...

The heels are stunning! They don't look uncomfortable to me.

  3. Nice dress, just a bit too long IMV.

Beautiful deep burgundy colour in combination with a shade of green that I would never have chosen myself, but which does work. The accessories are modest and the beautiful hat together with the smashing shoes complete the picture. I do like the boat neckline. Maybe the skirt a few inches shorter, but that's a minor detail. It's totally a QM outfit

    1. Yes a classic Queen Maxima outfit.
There's only one photo where she's not smiling.
I'm sure the cows were treated with a big smile from our dear Queen Maxima.

This dress is far too matronly and combined with the hat gives an, surely unwanted, look into the years to come for Maxima….. the whole look reminds me of Queen Juliana, minus the heels. Unfortunately Maxima always looks so uncomfortable and unelegant on these heels…… surely another unwanted effect. I adore a good heel, mind you, they are able to lift an entire outfit, but with Maxima and her shiny pantyhose, they are not even flattering most of the times…..

I agree on all points. The dress is too long giving her a matronly look and the shiny hose are awful. I will also add that the hat is ridiculous and screams "look at me" as most of her hats do....but of course everyone is already looking since she holds the title of "queen"... so the screaming clothes are not necessary.

    2. Where do you see shiny pantyhose?

Picture 4 shows shiny pantyhose and so do other pics online...it is an unfortunate trademark of Maxima along with the huge hats and on that I agree with you, Meghan.

Of course this is a good dressed and good looking woman, but in my eyes totally not her exuberant style.

This is typical Máxima signature. She looks regal and sophisticated, I like the print, color and the original pleated fabric. Very good choice of color with the accessories. I am glad that she didn’t change the original belt in order to match the shoes, and this proves that that even XL belts can be chic when properly executed. I agree that perhaps a couple of centimeters shorter would have been a better fit, nevertheless I do like the result.

  9. Queen Maxima looks fabulous in this green (and burgundy) skirt and blouse. The wide belt, covered in the same fabric, disappears. Her accessories are divine.

Excellent! I think Maxima looks great. I first saw photos on other social media and thought this was a beautiful outfit. The transparency of the hat makes it look less heavy and I like the Aubergine colour of it, also reflected in the shoes and accessories. I agree that the dress could have been a little shorter but it looks fine given that we are entering Autumn. Well done.

  11. It's Natan but I rather like it. Who would have thought it?? Lovely colour, nice style and accessories, especially the hat. I agree that it would be better if a little shorter but a fairly minor complaint. One of Maxima's winning looks, I'd say.

  12. Overall, it´s a no from me, though I admit that I don´t dislike it as much as I should.
My biggest problem with it is the material. It doesn´t look like twill at all but rather like polyester and therefore rather cheap. It makes me think of clingy fabrics that hardly ever sit right because of the static cling they cause. The skirt getting stuck between her legs in the above photos (although possibly caused by wind), don´t help. The colours are fine, albeit a bit unusual ( I would have preferred the green slightly more muted); the cut and length are alright. I like the pleats, especially in the top - to my surprise. The pattern is nice, but as always, I find patterns best when not all-over. It can quickly get too much, especially when the colour is already a statement in itself.

Well done! My comment would come from my Gran: don't match all your accessories. So, a russet or mauve bag and a nude glove... Or use a deep brown textured shoe (Princess Mary used to use a snakeskin-,esque pair - they are neutrals!)... Or add something a bit pale and lacy to lighten the the overall effect of the color pallette... Or just a natural straw hat...

I really like this ensemble/dress and she is radiant.

Queen Maxima knew it all along :

This is absolutely one of QM's most chic and fabulous looks. Love how she totally engages with the public. Maybe in the last photo, her posture could be a bit better and definitely shorten the dress. And her hair is under the hat . It's doesn't get any better! One of her best days no doubt!!

Very elegant and sophisticated look, although in total it makes her a bit pompous. The dress would have been "spicier" when shorter.

  16. It's the hat! Put a small headband and it softens her look/bearing. But this is her signature look, so we just gotta love it.

The colors are great but it's just missing the mark as it looks bulky on her.
