On September 2, Crown Princess Victoria visited Västerbotten county to receive information about the local recovery efforts in the wake of the pandemic. The visit to Västerbotten was made as part of the Royal Family's ongoing visits to all of Sweden's counties, aiming to provide solidarity with the sectors of the society that were affected by the pandemic.
The Crown Princess' program in Umeå and Skellefteå includes a visit to the City Mission, meetings with representatives of infection control in the Västerbotten Region and high school students at Maja Beskowskolan.
Yesterday Crown Princess Victoria attended the opening of the Sami Parliament in Lycksele. After the opening, the Crown Princess went to the Tonka Bistro Café in Umeå for dinner.

ReplyDeleteI love how this suit fits her. Perfect cut, perfect size. But oh the pattern. NO, no, no! And I don´t think the romantic blouse works with the suit either, nor do the brown accessories.
ReplyDeleteAs for the evening outfit - it´s not much better. The only reason why this ghastly dress isn´t the eyesore it was on earlier occasions, is because much of it is covered by the black coat, and not the furry monstrosity this time. The coat is actually quite nice, as are her earrings and her make-up (both day and evening).
Agree entirely on the suit. Although the style is fine, the pattern is just grim. I quite like the evening outfit, though, the sleeves of the dress are quite strange and the fact they are covered by the jacket certainly helps.
DeleteNO!!!!!!
ReplyDeletethat granny blouse with the squares suit is impossible... /WW
ReplyDeleteOnce again this suit could work as separate pieces, together is too much, the romantic blouse only adds to the cluttered look, and although I prefer pants on the longer side, the hem should’ve been a centimeter shorter, just like in the model. I do like the rest of the tailoring as it fits her figure rather well. I am not in love with dress, not horrible but meh and old fashioned. Nice makeup, she seems to have a very pretty golden tan.

I don't like the length of the pants, they seem to be too long for her short legs, The blouse is too matronly and doesn't go well with the pattern of the suit.
ReplyDeleteA more clunky heeled shoe instead of the sky high stilettos would suit the evening look better. The pattern is too much for her.

Per il suo modo di porsi, di indossare in modo semplice i vari capi di vestiti, trovo Vittoria una persona molto concreta, senza tanti fronzoli, di spessore. Mi piace la sua serieta' che traspare nei vari impegni;)

ReplyDeleteTotal fail. The hair, the suit pattern, the ugly blouse. Nothing works well together.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Vanessa and others. The blouse is wrong for the suit. A simple cami or crew neck top would have worked much better. I also think the accessories don't match, which is distracting. That is a lot of plaid, and she has more than one plaid suit. She would get a lot more mileage out of both pieces if they were worn as separates. I am not a fan of the dress either. The style is too matronly. The best thing about the outfit is the jacket because it covers a lot of the dress. She did wear her hair in a ponytail, though it cannot be seen too well in this photo. I like her makeup because it gives a little color to her face. ~d
ReplyDeleteVictoria just LOVES plaid. She loves it so much that the idea of limiting herself to just ONE plaid garment per outfit is never going to happen. I totally agree with everyone who disliked the frilly blouse too. Imagine that jacket (which fits beautifully, by the way) with a camisole top with a square neckline, not a U-shaped one, and a pair of solid pants.....would be such an improvement. I'm not sure there is ever a case for plaid pants, even with Victoria's slim figure--they are hardly ever a good choice. The evening outfit's saving grace is the jacket, that dress does her no favors. If she were to get dressed and then have someone take a photo, she might see what we all see, only before the fact instead of after.
ReplyDeleteShe does seem to love a good plaid! ~d
DeleteWas not keen on the suit, it looked too plaid. But with the close up photos, it was ok, Victoria's skin looked soft, and lovely. The dress was nice, especially with the dark cape/coat though the sleeves were a little long. jj
ReplyDeleteJust no...to all of this outfit.
ReplyDeleteRenee
I like the plaid suit on her, she wears it quite well. Top could be better adapted yes. Not keen on the dress, cannot say why in short. Shoes are ok, at least they are her style.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of a plaid suit ordinarily but she makes it work. The black dress and cape is gorgeous. She works so hard to connect with people, I bet she is very warm in person.
ReplyDeleteI do hope we see fewer prairie dresses this year and fewer little boots!
