I like this dress and I can see working for many occasions. The simple silhouette and color looks nice on Mary, and the pleat detail adds a little interest. Unfortunately, the dress is a little too big in the shoulders. That could have been easily taken care of with a proper fitting. While I like the belt she is wearing, I don't think she needed to change out her belt, but I can see why she might want to add another color with the shoes she is wearing. That is part of the advantage of having a plain palette. I can see it with a snake print shoe like the model has worn. ~d

    1. Exactly what I thought.

  3. Très joli modèle mais un peu serré à la taille, ce qui a trop entrouvert le bas de la robe en donnant l’effet d’une jupe-culotte ; élégant grand sac avec les escarpins de la même couleur !

    Beautifull simple dress!
( indeed a little to wide at the shoulders),

  5. This dress is a miss imo. I don't like the pleat in the front, thought it is a culotte at first, but it is a dress, a very strange one. I don't like the length either, and think a more clunky heeled shoe instead of the sky high stilettos would suit it better.

    1. Agree about the first impression of a culotte. Is it because of the way the dress "moves" while she is walking (if you know what I mean)? Would an underskirt help?

  6. I almost always love what she wears, but, this is a miss for me. Like Marlee, I thought it was a culotte and matching blouse, or a jumpsuit (although I ruled that out quickly). It looks awkward in the full length photo. And, I agree that it is not well tailored in the shoulders. I think the model wears it better.

  7. Prefer Crown Princess Mary in more vibrant colours but this is the second lovely pale dress we've seen in a week. So simple and really smart. Love the shoes too

  8. I love this dress. The pleat in the skirt adds a nice detail. The soft color is beautiful. I agree that it needs just a little tailoring. Perfect accessories.

Very elegant and timeless an excellent example of what one should have in a conscious wardrobe. So versatile and easy to dress up and down. In this particular situation, I would have chosen different accessories from her broad range of existing options. Still, very nice indeed.

I like the colour. Also thought they were culottes. Don't like the belt with the dress. I think it looks better on the model. Mary I

  11. Me gustaria se cortara el pelo, el peinado no la favorece alarga su cara,

El vestido o robe culotte solo me gusta el color, mejor con otros zapatos, el cinturon no añade nada al vestido.

I think she should wear it with the belt that goes with the dress (see the pic of the model). And I realize the wind was probably blowing - and walking causes movement/displacement - but I don't like the way the dress is hanging/draping on Mary in the front from the waist down. *But* I do think it's a very nice dress.

Personally, I have the problem with dresses that they will fit in one part of the body (bottom part ) but not in the other (upper part), where it will be too small. If I go up a size, the bottom part will be too big. IMO it is the same problem in revers with this dress. I think it looks a size too small in the lower part, and this is why it looks like shorts in one picture, which it doesn't on the model.

Not a fan of this style of clothing. It may look ok on CP Mary, but I just am not a fan of the style, the look, the fit, even the color of the frock. She looks wonderful as usual, have to wonder why she chose something like this to wear.... Hope it is just a 'one off' and we wont' see her in this stuff again. jj

  15. She makes it look beautiful. She works hard at having a good figure so she can wear things like this and they are sophisticated and polished.
