Queen Sonja of Norway opened the new Ruselokka School in central Oslo. Ruselokka School was established in 1871

On August 16, Queen Sonja opened the new Ruselokka School in central Oslo. Ruselokka School was established in 1871. The old school building was decided to be demolished in 2017 to make way for a new building. It was demolished in the autumn of 2018. The new school building completed in February 2021 was opened on the 150th anniversary of the school. Ruseløkka School has just under 700 students from 1st to 10th grade.

  1. Neat outfit, it fits her well and looks polished. I find it a bit winter-y though, and judging by what the other people are wearing, it´s still pleasantly warm in Oslo. I think something lighter had looked better on Sonja for this visit. Some beige or white trousers instead of the black had already made a big difference.

  3. Queen Sonja looks quite lovely as always. I do think if she had worn one of her statement necklaces and some of her other pieces of jewelry her look would have more pizzazz!

      I disagree. A necklace would have been too gawdy and overdone with the large buttons on the jacket.
