Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan officially opened Waste Management Facilities in Thimphu. The opening ceremony was held at one of 9 new facilities, in Dangrina. The opening ceremony was a step in the government’s Waste Management Flagship Program aiming to achieve the target named "Zero Waste Bhutan" by 2030. The facilities are aimed at encouraging citizens to undertake proper waste segregation and disposal.
The electric waste collection utility vehicles will be used to ensure access into the narrow streets and corners of the capital, which existing waste collection vehicles are unable to reach, all the while ensuring emission reduction. The Drop-off Centres and Waste Collection Facilities were created to provide residents the convenience to drop off waste at any time of the day.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning. What beautiful sumptuous fabric and glorious colours. It is always a joy to see posts about Queen Jetsun.

Most beautiful female Royal on the planet. No contest imo.
ReplyDeleteShe always seems wonderfully warm and genuine. I cannot say specifically why, but I get this feeling of serenity and depth, a sense of duty and determination…. Very unique and somehow reassuring in a Western spirituality-driven world.
