Today is August 30 and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece celebrates her 75th birthday. The Queen celebrates her birthday privately at the Royal Couple’s home in Porto Heli, Greece, together with members of the immediate family. Queen Anne-Marie is the youngest daughter of King Frederik IX and Queen Ingrid and was born at Amalienborg. In 1964, Queen Anne-Marie was married to King Constantine of Greece. During the period of 1964-1974, Queen Anne-Marie was Queen of the Hellenes.
Toujours aussi belle Anne-Marie qui s'est bonifiée avec le temps ; je me rappelle du jour de son mariage ; avec son futur mari, ils formaient déjà un très beau couple - Bon anniversaire à elle !
ReplyDeleteQueen Anne-Marie embodies understated elegance. Always modestly dressed but in good taste, a perfect lady. Happy Birthday wishes to her! S.M.
ReplyDeleteYes Queen Anne Marie is a lovely and good looking lady. Wishing her a Happy Birthday.
ReplyDeleteThe second last photo is very nice; can someone explain to me who they all are? I see Princess Benedikte who is Anne Marie's sister, and King Constantine of course, but who are the rest? Their younger sons (Nikolaus or Phillipos)? or P. Benedikte's children?

Anon 02:19, the lady next to Phillipos must be his new wife. I know he got married earlier this year. And the man next to Theodora is her fiance, they also want[ed] to get married last year, but of course this virus prevented it, like so many other weddings. I miss Tatjana, Nicholas's wife, and Pavlos and Marie-Chantal and the rest of the family.
DeleteFrom left to right: Princess Nina (Philippos' wife), Prince Philippos, Princess Benedikte, Prince Nikolaos, King Constantine, Queen Anne Marie, Princess Theodora, Princess Theodora's fiancé
DeletePrincess Tatiana (Nikolaos' wife) took the picture.
@Royalty fan and Anon 1:38: Thank you!

ReplyDeleteAlways her outfits are well chosen and in good taste.
Nice to see Princess Benedikte sharing this day with her sister.
The family group photo has got a nice touch of "Greece" about it.
Anon 01:38, oh okay, so she took the photo.
