King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, Queen Jetsun Pema (The Gyaltsuen) and Crown Prince Jigme Namgyel attended the Attestation Parade of the 77th group of Recruits of the Royal Bhutan Army (RBA) at the Military Training Centre in Tencholing, Wangduephodrang.
The event became a milestone in the military history of Bhutan, because the first cohort of women recruits has been trained in the Royal Bhutan Army this year. 151 men and 150 women have completed their yearlong training at the Military Training Centre and will now be appointed in the Royal Bhutan Army in the diffent regions of the country.
ReplyDeleteThe queen doesn't look happy.
ReplyDeleteFrom that side view she looks quite thin, but I think that's her normal. Perhaps she is wishing she could be among the new recruits. The king also looks different somehow. I hope all is well. ~Laurel~
DeleteAww she just looks pensive. They are a gorgeous family. I love how the son is leaning on mama. Congrats on the first set of female recruits!
ReplyDeleteWell said. I agree with all your points.

Lovely to see them again. I think Queen Jetsun Pema is easily one of the most beautiful women in the world
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteMe too. The little prince is absolutely adorable. Always love seeing this family.
