On July 10, 2021, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge watched the women's singles final played between Ashleigh Barty and Karolina Pliskova on the twelfth day of the 2021 Wimbledon Championships at The All England Tennis Club in Wimbledon, London. Australian Ashleigh Barty has won the 2021 Wimbledon women's singles title. The Duchess is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. The Duchess wore a green midi dress (bespoke) by Emilia Wickstead.

I like this a lot, although I think the skirt part would look a bit better if it started an inch higher. She has a really long torso in some of the pictures. But it is a really nice dress and very flattering on her. Nicely accessorized too.

Hi C agree with you. The dress would be nicer if taken up slightly at the waist. Other than that Kate looks, great as usual Mary I
DeleteThis is typical EW waist, I don't like it either.
DeleteLovely Duchess!
ReplyDeleteCatherine is beautiful in this gorgeous green dress, and, her smile is dazzling. The dress is tailored to a perfect fit. I'm not sure about the "cap" sleeves. Are they padded or just structured to create some height? Either way, they are interesting and show off her tanned, toned arms.
ReplyDeleteLove the green color dress .
ReplyDeleteI am on the net.. Ooopps fence with this look🤔, but good to see HRH back after her isolation
ReplyDeleteThe silhouette of this dress certainly favors Kate. I like the modification of the bodice to include the cap sleeves. They are a very small detail that add a lot. The fit is impeccable, certainly better than on the model. The skirt has beautiful movement, perfect for walking out on Centre Court to present the trophy. The cons for me are the white shoes and her hair. Her hair hides her Wimbledon bow and her earrings, not to mention that it is just looking very heavy and lacking shape. ~d
ReplyDeleteI also like the cap sleeves.
DeleteAgree on the dress, the cap sleeves make it nice, better than on the model.
DeleteThe white shoes are not a con for me, I like them, it is a fresh and elegant look. The flat shoes on the model are awful, and the green colour does nothing for the dress. 👍for Kate, make white shoes fashionable again!
Gorgeous dress. I love the color and style of this dress!! It fits perfectly on Catherine. Not a fan of the white shoes...I would have preferred a matching green shoe or a neutral taupe.

Lovely dress I particularly like the little sleeves as seen on the tv coverage. A big no no though to the white shoes. They look very out of place.
ReplyDeletethese type of dresses suit her well. am not sure about white shoes. perhaps purple, the other wimbledon color would havd been better
ReplyDeletew.
That is a lovely suggestion!
DeleteI also love the dress but think the shoes are a miss.
Josh
Very nice dress fitting perfectly, still not a fan of the white shoes.
ReplyDeleteLove the dress! Think her espadrilles or wedge shoes would have been better than the white shoes.

ReplyDeleteWow, this is a spectacular dress. I’m used to seeing D. Kate in more conservative choices but I love this on her. It’s a great colour and fit, and the twirly skirt certainly makes it stand out. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteLovely dress. The white shoes look very1980s to me but I noticed CP Victoria was wearing a very similar pair in the recent photographs so maybe white shoes are making a comeback.
ReplyDeleteIt is true that we see white shoes more often these days. There are fashion articles that come and go. Nice dress. The color is great on her. William is often seen wearing blue clothes. But he is so handsome that we forget that little détail. Duchess Kate has always that touch of elegance. Her smile brightens the day.
DeleteHow funny, these strong antiwhite emotions :-). Sure, white shoes have been "out" for decades I think. But before those decades, white shoes were a summer must, the epitome of summery elegance. They do seem to have a comeback - and why not? It would be a pity to miss them forever. - The green dress is perfect and the small cap sleeves help to make it a day dress. (-Ann.)
ReplyDeleteCatherine est superbe dans cette magnifique robe verte.

Gorgeous!!! Love the style and fit of the dress--Emilia Wickstead designs are wonderful on Kate. She's looking fabulous--can't wait for tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I think the white shoe looks very fresh.
ReplyDeleteJe suis ravie de la voir si belle dans cette toilette verte ; j'aime beaucoup ses chaussures blanches qui apparemment redeviennent tendance !

Princess Charlene should learn from Duchess Catherine.
ReplyDeleteShe's so beautiful and happy.
Class.

Lovely dress, gorgeous colour however, I wish the white shoes had remained in the 1980's.
