On July 14, 2021, Queen Maxima of The Netherlands made a working visit to the Education and Training company, E&R Opleidingen in Nieuwegein, The Netherlands. E&R Nieuwegein Holding B.V. is located in Nieuwegein, UTRECHT, Netherlands and is part of the Education & Training Services Industry.
Woman with extra ordinary taste!
ReplyDeleteAva
maybe she’s an ordinary woman
DeleteGreat colours, and a fabulous top but wrong occasion, and the clutch is out of place as well. Bad hair as usual. - Ellie
ReplyDeleteThis woman has no common sense about how to dress or groom.
ReplyDeletemary
she surely will have other senses if she has married a king ? W.W
DeleteI totally agree!! The bow is horrible and there are no big, ostentatious clothes or accessories that can make up for stringy, unstyled, unhealthy looking hair.
DeleteRenee
MJ
DeleteI think her "common sense" and yours may differ. But this should not be a reason to be verbally rude.
DeleteI agree 100%
DeleteOh nein! Mäxima liebt das Schräge und Schrille, jedoch wirkt dies in ihrem Alter albern. Ich erinnere mich mit Grauen an den kürzlich von ihr getragenen Hut während des Staatsbesuchs in Deutschland. Schlimmer geht immer - leider!
ReplyDeleteO no, another ridiculous outfit,
ReplyDeleteJosh
OMG, that shirt….is crazy
ReplyDeleteOMG, that shirt….is crazy
ReplyDeleteI like that outfit.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit has to be tongue-in-cheek, with a wink on the side.
ReplyDeleteI cannot think of any reason other than to make a statement (feminism, equal rights, gender employment equality or whatever else along those lines) than to choose an outfit like this to visit a place that trains women to be heavy duty truck drivers (I read this in another article). How can you not admire a queen who will ditch her heels without hesitation and climb barefoot into the cabin of an 18 wheeler??? lol!
If it was her intention to make me chuckle loudly while making a point, she succeeded in buckets. You go, girl! :)

Agreed. She certainly has a varied way of dressing herself, which isn't always a succes. But I like this as an outfit, although it is not very practical for this particular visit, with those shoes and the bow. But it is a nice outfit. And it's Maxima: she seems like a really hands-on person, no Stepford wife type of queen that is always picture perfect. I personally find that very refreshing.
DeleteEdited to add: Having watched a clip of the visit, she actually drives the truck along a short marked route and then reverses back into the original parking spot. Respect!

The sleeve could flip up to become a hat, perhaps?
ReplyDeleteThanks "Unknown" for giving me my first smile of the day :-)))
DeleteWhat in the heck is that wad of toilet paper on her shoulder? Otherwise, without that it would have been a nice outfit. Also, if she knows her hair isn't going to stay neat, especially on outdoor activities, maybe wearing it styled back would look better.

The denim is great, perfect for this visit. I can't imagine what made her think that blouse was a good idea. When you see the blouse from the angle of her sitting in the truck, it looks fine. A simple pop over top would have been much more appropriate in this situation. This was a bad time to be so extra. It looks like she is wearing her trademark statement earrings when a simple hoop would have worked. Again, plain, lower shoes would have worked so much better here. She would have never needed to remove her shoe. She fails to grasp the concept of dressing for the occasion when she in a place like this. It must have been planned that she would be crawling up in that truck. A different bag or no bag at all would have been preferable to this clutch. She hands it off anyway, so I can't see the point of an extra long clutch that belongs with a more formal outfit. This would have been the ideal time to pull her hair into a nice pony tail. I can't help but think that she comes across as "I am the Queen, and I am better" when she dresses this way. I don't know that she means to, it is just how it can appear. It is such a shame because I truly believe she enjoys her work and would never mean to offend. ~d
ReplyDeleteEl corte del pantalon no es actual, la blusa con ese enorme lazo no
ReplyDeletela veo adaptada al pantalon, su acto consistia en subirse al camion
no lo entiendo.
I don't know why, but I had to think: Truckerbabe......😁
ReplyDeleteP.S. For those who might not know, 'Truckerbabes' is a dokusoap about women driving trucks, which is welll known in Germany and Austria. It is 'Lady Truckers' in Belgium. 'Meiden die rijden' in the Netherlands and 'Les reines de la route' in France.
Is it just my imagination or did she take one of her shoes off in the last two photos? The outfit is ok although I am not a fan of the huge bow on the blouse.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, although, as I said, the outfit is ok, it does not seem to be a good fit for the occasion.
I adore Queen Maxima, but the verdict is out on this one!
ReplyDelete@Anon 9:13: Yes, exactly, I feel the same way. An outfit like this is of course not possible on high royal occasions or state visits or when talking about finance at the UN. But on everyday engagements she does it exactly her way and wears what she likes and lets her hair down because she clearly wants it that way. This is a kind of noncoformity and it is part of her very likeable personality. (-Ann.)
ReplyDeleteYes Ann, I agree. She is her own person and does things her own way... and that makes me like her even more!

So ridiculous outfit
ReplyDeleteSusana
Ilove Max, she is always herself, rock on Max, rock on.
ReplyDeleteYeah, go for it Q. Max.
DeleteAND please don't forget my open invitation to pop over for dinner when you're in the neighbourhood.
AND you can kick your shoes off under the table if you wish.
Just give me a bit of notice so that I can send my hubby out on one of his boring old fishing trips.
Completely agree. I've just watched a 10 minute video clip of her visit and love her even more than I already did. She is so engaged with the men and women there that clothes seem very secondary. Best of all, they are all enjoying her visit and that her personality is so 'real'. If anything, her style was the perfect ice breaker.

If I was a Queen trying my hand at driving a semi, this would be my ensemble of choice. Love it!
ReplyDeleteВера💚🦋
Beyond ridiculous for a Queen to appear in public like this. Comb the hair, take the wad of toilet paper off the shoulder, and leave your shoes on when in a truck, otherwise it might not have been too bad for the occasion. anne
ReplyDeleteZe wil gewoon opvallen, of nou een rare hoed is of een rare mouw. Poekie
ReplyDeleteMaxima seems to be a lovely person BUT less really is more!
ReplyDeleteThe shoulder bow is ridiculous, could make another top from the spare material if it gets cold! However a Queen driving a truck...that's not something you see every day! I can't help but really like this lady & her attitude and engagement with the people she meets. Always a pleasure to see her smile despite the sometimes crazy outfits...JP
ReplyDeleteA lot of rude comments here. I wonder if those Ladies could drive a truck by themselfes... I must say, Maxima gave her best. Maybe she intended not to climb into a truck, but she did it finally. Courage and respect from my side.
ReplyDeleteRidiculous outfit
