Princess Stephanie gave an interview to Monaco Info about the continuing fight against HIV/AIDS. "Apart from Monaco nobody really talks about HIV. That's why I'm very proud of my country and of Fight Aids Monaco because we hang on and we continue the fight and to inform and to be there for people living with HIV." said the Princess among other things. Princess Stephanie is president of Fight Aids Monaco and a UNAIDS Ambassador.
She looks so sad…. and her clothing do too
ReplyDeletePrincess Stephanie is not
Deletea looking for the camera - type, a bit introverted, I think.
I like her simple summer outfit.

You are so right about both!
DeleteStephanie is true to self in as far as her sense of dressing: Does not mean I personally like it, but she is consistent.
ReplyDeleteI find the statement, " "Apart from Monaco nobody really talks about HIV. That's why I'm very proud of my country and of Fight Aids Monaco because we hang on and we continue the fight and to inform and to be there for people living with HIV." said the Princess" Her statement is not true, and offensive to each and every country that continue to research this disease, bring forth new treatments, with communication via print ads, radio, Internet, and Television ads. There are many groups who support, the HIV community with pro-demonstrations (peaceful), and raise money for research.
To say: "Apart from Monaco nobody really talks about HIV. That's why I'm very proud of my country and of Fight Aids Monaco because we hang on and we continue the fight and to inform and to be there for people living with HIV." said the Princess." This statement is total rubbish, offensive and rude to all the countries, regions, where there is research ongoing, where people are fighting to help those with HIV, etc.
My opinion expressed: jj
Agree with 10:53. There is a lot of research about HIV in a lot of different countries in the world.
DeleteI didn't take Stephanie's comment to mean literally that no one discusses HIV/AIDS anymore. My take away was that HIV/AIDS is no longer the "headliner" it used to be, and does not get the same kind of attention. What I see a lot of is commercials about new medications that can keep the disease under control so well that it is undetectable. I know the research continues, but we have come very far. Currently, we have a pandemic that has taken control of the news cycles. If it wasn't the pandemic, it would be something else. I think it has fallen off many people's radar. Stephanie is a constant, giving us our yearly reminders that HIV/AIDS is still a problem in the world. ~d
DeleteAnonymous 10:53. I agree with you. The take-away was that no one really worries about HIV and the Fight Aids Monaco is the only thing organization that continues to support research. cally

She is aging like all women of her age....
ReplyDeleteI am her age. And no, we are not all aging the same. A healthy lifestyle, working on past traumas that we alle have, getting over the losses that we all experience, accepting that life sometimes takes another route, getting help if needed, working through insecurities, building up a humble healthy self confidence and over all practising thankfulness for all the good that we received - or as I would call it 'getting your shit together' helps a lot. Stefanie grew older, and she is growing old way beyond her age, but in her eyes you still see the girl that faced the horror looking down the abyss in that car. She never got over it.
DeleteThat would be explained be " the human factor" of which she has always been a part. At least she is doing it with grace , unlike those who choose another route , and loose their physical identity.
DeleteSharon from U. S.
Yes, she is aging as we all naturally do as the years go by. But Stephanie's aging has been quite accelerated by her decades of smoking and excessive sun exposure.
DeleteI cannot agree. She has aged terribly. Setting aside the personal issues, she is a smoker and has quite a lot of sun damage. This is the skin of a person that has not cared for herself. We are the same age and I do not look nearly as aged as she does. Her lifestyle alone has caught up to her. ~d
DeleteAt 56 she is aging pretty fast.
ReplyDeleteI think she (and her sister) have been life long smokers and it has aged their skin horribly.
DeleteAnita
Anita is probably right. Simplicity is her choice. A simple neat style fits her best.
DeleteGood of her to work for a good cause, but what she said is….nonsense.
ReplyDeleteJosh
I agree Josh on what she said is nonsense. cali
DeleteJetzt hätte ich die Prinzessin fast nicht erkannt :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with the above comment's on Stephanie aging. Caroline and Stephanie are not aging well at all. I am 62 yrs old myslelf and I look like I am in my early 50's. I have avioded alcohol. drugs and the sun. There mither Princess Grace aged a lot better than Caroline & Stephanie.
ReplyDeleteTheir mother was neither a smoker nor a big sun worshipper. She did however gain some weight in her later years which can help to give an illusion of younger skin.
DeleteBut she did adopt quite a matronly style which was aging (although typical of the times).
Lastly, she was younger than both her daughters are now when she died.

I won’t comment on what she said because I suspect she’s well aware of the extensive research into HIV going on elsewhere. Maybe she just means that Covid has taken all of the headlines?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, as far as fashion is concerned, this is a very uninspired look for any occasion. I’m not quite sure what to make of Stephanie. It’s as though she’s simply unaware of how she presents herself. ( V.M.)
My mother was a sun lover and a smoker (Australian sun which is very harsh and Mum smoked for 36 years before finally giving up at the age of 50). My mother had beautiful skin, she wasn't precious about her skincare, she simply followed her own mother's advice; moisturise, moisturise, moisturise and don't forget your neck. Mum never used expensive products as she didn't believe in paying for expensive packaging. It may have been genetics, I don't know. It may have been as Mum said, "children keep you young", she had her last, me at 39.
ReplyDeleteI used to have a crush on her in the early 80s..she was so sporty and tomboy but hot at the same time..
ReplyDeleteI have had a girl crush on her sister Caroline starting when I was about 12 years old! I was born in December the same year as her. I quit smoking when I was 50. I must say, my facial skin is wrinkle free, except my neck area hasn't faired as well! Even with that, I still look younger than Caroline does! I have always felt, that sister Stephanie never really had a real sense of "fashion" but went with what she was comfortable in wearing. In my humble opinion, she has never been a feminine type of female. It also appears to me, in this year of 2024, she is just letting herself go with the flow of aging, without any intervention of procedures...even minor ones! Same goes with sister Caroline! She use to be so naturally beautiful in her youth. Stephanie strikes me as being a perpetually sad person, and it shows on her face!
DeleteUnfortunately she has not aged well, she looks way older than her years and her sister Caroline has not aged well either, this most likely from hard living such as smoking, sun, drinking, partying and just over doing it. Also genetics could play a role. Time has not been kind. I think both Stephanie and Caroline would have opted for a more normal life given the chance. Both gals were so lovely in their hey day. And I so admire them for accepting their looks as is and for remaining down to earth and not getting plastic surgery and all the entrapments of the Kardashians. What you see is what you get and both Stephanie and Caroline are at peace with it. I admire them for that. Both are good mothers as well and have raised good kids.
