Che bellezza Ingrid Alexandra!
ReplyDeleteThis is so sad, so sad…

Ingrid-Alexandra looks fantastic. Youthful, elegant, comfortable, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI like Mette-Marit´s outfit too, the blouse is nice and I like to see trousers with a wider leg. But the high waist doesn´t look right on her, so either it needs to be lower, or the blouse needs to be untucked. The ballerinas are great.
Thinking of this horrible terrorist attack 10 years ago when so many young people died I don't think it's appropriate to talk about fashion.
ReplyDeleteWell, this is a fashion show. I find your comment condescending. The fact that you try to shame people for talking about regular daily life stuff is ill conceived. We all experience loss and some even inconceivable tragedies, but we put our pants one leg at a time in the morning, and make our best, without running around creating drama and admonishing others.

DeleteI find your comment condescending. The fact that you have to audicity to shame people for not wanting to talk about fashion at a time like this, is utterly bizarre. It is true that all of us will experience loss and tragedies, but most of us will never experience a terror attack aimed towards youths. Terror attack. YOUTHS! 77 people dead. It isn't weird that some people find it uncomfortable to talk about fashion.
If you truly want to talk about fashion then go ahead and do it, I won't judge you, but wait...you didn't even mention one single piece of clothing worn by the royals. Practice what you preach, at least, instead of running around creating unnecessary drama.

I totally agree that we should not discuss what people are wearing in connection with such a horrible event. - Ellie
DeleteCB seriously...R completely agree.

CB, you could spare this comment of yours.
DeleteTough for them all especially Ingrid Alexandra, with the victims being young people around her age. Nice appropriate summery outfits as this wasn't a memorial event lie the ones shown earlier.
ReplyDeleteThis was a memorial event. There are TWO memorial events in Norway since there was TWO places that we're hit, but Utøya is always a little more casual outfits.

We should not forget that Crown Princess Mette-Marit has lost her brother at the terror attack on Utoya. For her it must be a very sad commemoration.
ReplyDeleteMette-Marit was born in 1973, and the 'brother' referred to was born in 1960 (must have been, as he was 51 in 2011). The two had completely different parents. The 'brother's' father married Mette-Marit's mother in 1994, at which point in time the 'brother' was 34 and Mette-Marit 21. They do not share parents in any which way. - Where I live, a person of 21 and another of 34 do not become any relations at all when their parents marry, as both are adults at the time of the parents' marriage. - I did not have an relations at Utoya, but the story is incredibly sad and horrible. I think of Mette-Marit as a warm and caring person, and anyone just hearing about the shootings would be affected. - Ellie
DeleteEllie, I am not sure what your point is. Why are you trying to minimize the relationship between MM and her step-brother/brother? Who cares if they "do not share parents in any which way". Family is not exclusively a blood relation. You don't know the nature of their relationship. "Where [you] live" has nothing to do with it. This hit very close to home for her, and hurt members of her family on a very personal level. Please try to muster up some compassion. ~d
DeleteAfter having read what colleagues said above, I would still want to say that I appreciate the occasion given by this blog to share this remembrance ceremony. Such events are very important for the families involved and also all of us. We should never forget about such extremism, violence and terrorist attacks.
ReplyDeleteI guess this is a great occasion particularly for Ingrid Alexandra to get close to her fellow citizens. But how could we do without saying how lovely she looks. They all look quite appropriately dressed for the occasion.
CB
ReplyDeleteI agree with the replies given above.
Sometimes respect, compassion and tact have to prevail over futile things, such as talking about fashion , at least on this extremely sad occasion.
Of course, if you want to comment on fashion, please do, but do not bash others for their views.
And yes, we all know life goes on, but respect is due for a tragedy like this and for so many young lives gone forever.
This does not mean creating drama, but being sensitive.
P.
The royal family looks very lovely. Ingrid Alexandra is growing more and more beautiful. She has such a charming beauty and elegance about her. Love all the outfits.
ReplyDeleteIt was solemn and lovely event. Life has to go on but people remember the tragedy and mourn the loss. Please no more nuts like Breivik!!!

I wonder why Prince Sverre Magnus was not at this event. I won't judge why he is/is not there, just say I miss his presence at the memorialization of so many around his age that lost their lives. Maybe it was too much for him, we don't know. I am glad that Norway continues to commemorate the passing of years since the terrorist attacks which killed 77 people at the Government Office Complex in Oslo and on the island of Utøya. jj
