On July 2, 2021, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain hosted a lunch for United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at the Royal Palace in Madrid. The lunch was also attended by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, First Deputy Prime Minister Carmen Calvo and Foreign Affairs Minister Arancha Gonzalez Laya. Queen Letizia wore an embroidered dress from Carolina Herrera.
Carolina Herrera Embroidered Dress
Schuhe, Kleid, Handtasche - Perfekt!
ReplyDeleteThis dress is perfection! The colours, cut, fabric... Wow. It's a feast to look at!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress. Paired with these fabulous shoes, it is even better than the previous time she wore it. Just perfect
ReplyDeleteThat dress is a work of art; a jewel
ReplyDeleteSusana
Wonderful colourful dress. Right style and length for Letizia. My only critics are the shoes. Not the colour but they don't fit very well. If the Spanish royals kept at least 1.5m distance to everyone they woulf not have to wear a face mask anymore.
ReplyDeleteIt is mandatory to wear a mask indors in Spain by law, so they have to do It.

Anonymous @22:23, your comment is the perfect example of people that state their opinions as facts. Masks are still mandatory in Spain while indoors, as vaccination hasn’t reached a point to make an impact on herd immunity.
DeleteI hope that you don’t give medical advise as freely as you do with your comments.
Cherry
Let's see. Some patience. The target of herd immunity in Spain, around 70% of the population, is in the 33 million vaccinated citizens. For this, the second dose of Pfizer, Moderna or Astra Zeneca is missing in about 14 million. The current daily rate of vaccination is about 750,000 doses. Until then, it is still necessary to legally maintain the use of masks indoors.
DeleteLove the style not sure about the pattern & floral though seem rather loud. Mary I
ReplyDeleteGlorious! She is a floral vision. I love the pink shoes and bag paired with the dress this time. They give it a more festive flair. Carolina Herrera certainly been good to her. ~d
ReplyDeleteThis wonderful dress would have been more impressive when it were a few inches longer,
ReplyDeleteJosh
Just vow. Perfection. This is definitely not another floral dress. -Lisa
ReplyDeleteI agree of course agree with all the positive comments, yes a splendid dress, fitting very well to Qn Letizia. I did not remember having seen it earlier.
ReplyDeleteWhile writing this comment I was thinking that comments would probably be less positive if the dress was worn by Mathilde f.i. By the way I am far less fond of the two alternative versions worn by the model.
The point is that you have to have the body of Queen Letizia to be able to wear these dresses, that is why Mathilde could not wear it ... nor many other consorts.
DeleteElegance is knowing how to put on the dress-clothes suitable for your body
Susana
I agree with Susana. It is nothing against Mathilde. It is all in dressing the body you have to look your best. ~d
DeleteThis is not a dress, but a dream of perfection and it is so well matched with her hot pink bag and pumps!!
ReplyDeleteThe only two Royal ladies who could pull off all this are Mary and Kate IMO.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress, but the shoes (feet) look absolutely painful! These grotesque high heels are absolutely un-natural and actually spoil an outfit.
ReplyDeleteWhen are woman going to rebel and stop being slaves to these over the top fashions?
Shoes of this style will always be the most elegant and no one forces Queen Letizia to wear them. If she didn't like them, she wouldn't wear them. They are the shoes that best fit a woman.
DeleteSusana
Marlee
DeleteSorry, I can't get why you are so sure that Letizia's feet are painful and high heels are grotesque.
" They spoil an outfit"?
Are you serious?
Very odd statements.
If a woman can't wear heels for any reason, which I can respect, this does not mean that she has to demean another lady who looks so perfect in them.
P.
Comments about high heels are so puzzling to me. You make some very strong statements. No woman will deliberately wear shoes that hurt her feet, in public, and continue to walk perfectly. It is not possible.
Delete"Grotesque" is in the eye of the beholder. I think the shoes are beautiful and they enhance the outfit. Women have nothing to "rebel" about because they are not "slaves to these over the top fashions". Pumps are a standard woman's shoe. It is a personal choice. You are free to wear Birkenstock's and hairy legs with that dress if you choose to. The fashion police may frown, but it is a free world. High heels make the leg look more attractive. It is one thing to be unable to wear them due to age or medical reasons. It is entirely another thing to lash out because you can't walk in them so you drag anyone else that can. It is my experience that comments like this are usually because of the latter. Beautiful dresses, like this one, would have the look spoiled a bit if the shoes were frumpy flats or 1 inch heels. This dress calls for elegant high heels. ~d
A beautiful dress and I love the long version worn by Nicole Kidman in the photo. Caroline Herrera's creations are so often stunning and one of my favourite brands.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see this beautiful dress again, it's a work of art. Perfectly tailored, as usual. And the pink shoes are brilliant. Gorgeous head to toe. I'm glad Felipe went with a green tie, coordinate but not matching.
ReplyDeleteChel
Beautiful dress. Carolina Herrera clothes fit fit Letizia to a tee. A perfect pairing between designer and wearer.

Qué hermosa mujer de 48 años. Letizia es impresionante y este precioso vestido la hace parecer una grácil bailarina, reina del escenario. Gran elección los zapatos y bolso de color rosa, magníficos.
ReplyDeleteEverything has already been said… this dress is beautiful and the queen makes it shine with her perfect posture, and dreamy shoes!!!
ReplyDeleteCherry
Beautiful dress, but talk about Barbie shoes… bubblegum pink anyone?
