On June 3, 2021, Queen Maxima attended the opening of new office of Hesselink Koffie in Winterswijk. The Hesselink Koffie is a family company, which the foundations were laid by the first Hesselink generation in 1885. As well as coffee, the family business also offers its own tea brand Veine tea, products to accompany the coffee, coffee machines, and complete coffee concepts. Queen Maxima's outfit is from the fashion house Natan.
Natan Top and Trousers
Sorry but don’t like the blouse at all.

DeleteOMG, yet another really 'not pretty', in fact, rather ugly outfit, from the orange 'blobs on the top to the short trousers, to those ugly shoes with plastic looking cut outs. At least her hair was pulled back and covered though I don't like those hair band things with the rounded edges. Looks like a hat from the front, then you see its not a hat. jj
ReplyDeleteTotally agree! However, the "hair band" looks 100% better than the "flying saucer hat" she wore with the outfit the last time. DIQ
DeleteThe only thing I can say, Queen Maxima has extra ordinary taste in clothes.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is just very unattractive , the fabric looks like upholstery, and it wrinkles excessively, the cut of the pants is extremely unflattering, the flowers on the top are just ……can’t find the words for them. If one insists to wear trendy items like culottes for an informal event, at a minimum they should be paired with accessories that fit into the style, never with a formal hat, and gloves that don’t belong with the pants. Somebody need to advise the Queen that she must either wear a bra or buy one that actually fits, the bust line is just terrible.

Queen Maxima should stop wearing Natan fashion and culottes, a skirt would have been a better choice. This outfit is not particularly flattering, the large flowers with fringe are too busy, the only thing I like about it is the fabric and the colour. - mjt
ReplyDeleteIs there life outside of NATAN?
ReplyDeleteWarum immer wieder Natan? Wenn es doch so viel bessere Designer und so viel schönere Kleider gibt?
ReplyDeleteAgree with about all comments, just bad styling, particularly the orange flowers and the material. I realize it could be appealing to the Dutch population in view of the orange color. The best would be to get rid of this one.
ReplyDeleteThe Dutch can be hilariously orange mad on Kings day to the point of wearing furry orange crowns on that day but they are not so far gone that they would approve of this outfit on any day.
DeleteOh no! I thought this awful suit ( with culotte) would never ever come out of the closet again. She has worn it for one of the Dutch national holidays (King's day). I don't think it was ever in an official Natan's collection. And yesterday she looked so lovely in het turquoise Natan dress.

Not my favorite outfit but it seems to be a favorite of Maxima. I hope we don’t see it again. This outfit is not a good look for anyone.

It's so sad. She would look so much better with a good haircut and good fitting clothes. She's becoming a parody of herself.
ReplyDelete@ kteach , although I don't like this outfit one bit, as I stated above, I think that defining Maximas's sartorial choices as self-parody is an exaggeration, not to mention deprecating. I do think that she is a very exuberant woman that tends to overdo most of her outfits, I would never call her elegant, but sometimes and specially when she wears formal/gala attires she could be incredibly gorgeous and vibrant.

Einfach kurios!

If I am not mistaken, the last time she wore this, I compared the fabric to burlap. Sadly, my opinion has not changed. ~d
ReplyDeleteBurlap = hessian, this side of the pond, is no longer used to pack potatoes etc. They had to find some use for it.
DeleteYes, it looks like burlap. I love Queen Maxima but her taste in clothing needs tweaking.
DeleteThe fit of that too-tight top is horrible, you can tell from the narrow shoulders to the unfortunate bust line & the waist. The culottes also are sloppy-looking & need to be ironed once in a while. I wonder if Natan "creations" fit anyone at all, because they sure don't look good on Máxima & Mathilde, who need to dress for their body shape & not exclusively for fashion. ~Laurel~
ReplyDeleteIf it were orange flowers, but these blobs ... well, yes, I won't go into details of what they evoke. Maxima is a woman of extremes. Sometimes she is really extremely and flamboyantly attractive, even in cases when she overdoes it and other times she just makes me laugh (and wonder about how she does not notice the difference herself). (-Ann.)
ReplyDeleteWithout the “ rags” it wouldnot be so bad: the color is very nice, and for once I think the culotte is O.k., but: never, never should culottes be worn with high heels!
ReplyDeleteHair and bandeau: well done!
And: lovely, not exaggerated earrings!
Josh
Too bad she felt the need to add more extension to her hair with a pony tail. Looks silly on a woman her age, course the outfit looks really odd and silly on someone in her age bracket and position. Anne
