On June 8, 2021, Queen Letizia of Spain attended the opening of the 'Emilia Pardo Bazan' exhibition at the National Library of Spain in Madrid. Emilia Pardo Bazán (1851-1921), was a Spanish novelist, journalist, literary critic, poet, playwright, translator, editor and professor. The exhibition seeks to convey to viewers, in a visually expressive way, a work and a life that are crucial to review and update the literary and intellectual history of the last third of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th. Queen Letizia wore an ivory midi dress by Spanish designer, Pedro Del Hierro.

ReplyDeleteElegant queen Letizia as usual ; I would not say the same about the outfit of the lady with the heavy black polka outfit.
ReplyDeleteGive me that body pleassseee
ReplyDeletePedro del hierro is one of my favorite designers, and this dress is just elegant, fluid and impeccably tailored. The volume and movement works perfectly with her figure, and the shoes and bag are the perfect complements for this minimalist queen.
ReplyDeleteFabulous!

Once again Queen Letizia displays perfect, simple elegance. I especially like the way the skirt moves. I like the colour combos of the lady in black and white and the one in royal blue and pink but what on earth was the lady in the polka dot pyjamas thinking about??? Hopefully, she'll look at the Queen and realise that "less is more" is a good mantra!!
ReplyDeleteThe dress is gorgeous and Queen Letizia looks magnificent in it. Her shoes and clutch are the icing on the case. Maybe the lady in the large polka dotted outfit knew she would have to wear something special to be noticed in the presence of the queen. She succeeded :-)
ReplyDeleteThe lady in the polka-dotted outfit is Carmen Calvo Poyato, the first Vice-President of the Spanish Government.
DeletePerfecta.
ReplyDeleteThe queen has a beautiful face and figure, but it is her posture that is her most outstanding attribute--not her clothing.
ReplyDeleteError. Ella es hermosa y tiene una postura regia, pero sus mejores atributos son su cerebro y su ética de trabajo.
DeleteThis is perfection. I particularly like the simple bodice with the fluid, pleated skirt. The snakeskin pumps and clutch add some texture. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteSehr elegant - schade dass man durch die Maske das schöne Gesicht nicht sieht !!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous no other words needed ... Mary I
ReplyDeleteSimplicity at its best. The dress is classic and beautifully tailored. The snakeskin accessories add interest without detracting from the overall look.
ReplyDeleteE.B.B.
A good look again. Elegant and feminine, love the movement of the skirt.
ReplyDeleteBut unlike most people, I don't like the clutch and shoes. I've never liked snake skin, whether it be clothing or accessories.
As usual pure elegant, shoes and bag match the dress perfectly.
ReplyDeleteHer posture amazing as usual.
I love the first photo with the Queen back to back with the lady in the painting. Lovely....
