  2. Queen Letezia looks marvelous here! Very pretty, summery dress and her up-do is ballerina perfect. The First Lady looks lovely in her beautiful green dress. Both ladies are elegant and stylish for their daytime event.

First Lady Kim Jung-Sook for the win!

While Queen Letizia looks lovely, as well, I am giving my fashion award to the perfect, perfect, perfect green dress.

From the summery green, to the linen fabric, with a flattering neckline and bodice detail, and lovely elbow length sleeves and finishing at the precisely placed hemline. Perfection.

Now I have an internet fashion research project to figure out who made this dress. Wish me luck!

lol! I applaud your enthusiasm Bepa, and I agree with everything you said.
(PS I think this lovely green dress might have been made to measure for the First Lady, but good luck finding out).

  5. Love the First Lady’s dress! Beautiful color and perfect linen for the heat. I know many will disagree but I wish the Queen would have worn a bit longer sleeves.

Because many of you do not know the culture in other countries. In Japan even a French slevees would be considrered odd.
When you travel and visit more places in the world you realise that your thoughts are not universal.
In Italy only nuns wear sleeves, it is as you reconise them

  6. I love this dress, especially the cap sleeves and even the slightly uneven hem is okay. It looks cool, comfortable and chic. Not so keen on the beige shoes. I like the colour of the Korean lady's dress and like Tulipe33, I think it's a good style for her.

  7. Muy bonito color verde del vestido de Mme Corea. Le perdono las arrugas porque es lino, ideal para el calor. Sus zapatos siguen siendo feos.
Letizia está preciosa, como siempre. No recuerdo estos zapatos color camel.

  9. First lady's dress and shoes are wonderful..
On the other hand,Queen's outfit is a no..
The pattern doesn't suit her complexion, she definitely must start to wear slightly longer sleeves, the shoes are not the best choice but the worst for me are her hair style..The Queen has beautiful, healthy, well groomed hair..Grey hair are not flattering, and the bun makes them look kind of old fashioned..
Her posture saves the day,at the end..

"She must start to wear longer slevees"? in a country whrere almost nobody wears them and it is considred ninnish. Maybe visiting your country, not in Spain or Italy even my grandma wears a strapless dress.

The ballerina bun is old fashioned? I think you have lost the last fashion weeks. And grey hair is not flattering for you, I know lots of women very elegant in her white hair, instead of others with blonde burnt bottle hair.

    3. Ty and Luciana,I shouldn't answer your anonymous comments but i will..
I am Greek, today is 30o C,my grandma didn't wear strapless, she wore black and she had a bun..I am 53,and i wear strapless only on the beach..
I gave my personal opinion, for the particular outfit of a wonderul Queen..
      Why you bother????

The lady in the black printed dress next to the Queen also with abbreviated sleeves, is the Minister of Defense. So the Spanish women in the picture do not favor sleeves. Perhaps it is indeed a cultural thing. July

And the Countess of Wessex is wearing a sleveevesless dress in London today, she is older than Letizia..
      Culture or no modesty?? LOL..

Letizia's dress is very pretty and looks great in her. I do not care for the First Lady's green dress. Linen shows wrinkles at their worst for pics and I find it rather shapeless.

    1. Agree with you, Renee. But I must say, and I said it before, the Queens feet look tortured. Let's look at the Lady in the blue patterned dress, her sandals look perfectly fine with her summer dress.
