On June 16, 2021, Queen Letizia and First Lady Kim Jung-Sook visited the headquarters of ONCE Foundation in Madrid. The president of the Republic of Korea, Moon Jae-in and First Lady Kim Jung-Sook, arrived in Spain on Tuesday for a three-day state visit. ONCE is a Spanish foundation established on December 13, 1938 for the purpose of raising funds to provide services for the blind and people with serious visual impairment. Queen Letizia wore a print dress from Massimo Dutti.

ReplyDeleteQueen Letezia looks marvelous here! Very pretty, summery dress and her up-do is ballerina perfect. The First Lady looks lovely in her beautiful green dress. Both ladies are elegant and stylish for their daytime event.
ReplyDeleteAgree. Both ladies look lovely.

I agree too! Judy
DeleteAbsolutely agree, fantastic dresses for both ladies. That green color is just beautiful.

First Lady Kim Jung-Sook for the win!
ReplyDeleteWhile Queen Letizia looks lovely, as well, I am giving my fashion award to the perfect, perfect, perfect green dress.
From the summery green, to the linen fabric, with a flattering neckline and bodice detail, and lovely elbow length sleeves and finishing at the precisely placed hemline. Perfection.
Now I have an internet fashion research project to figure out who made this dress. Wish me luck!

lol! I applaud your enthusiasm Bepa, and I agree with everything you said.
Delete(PS I think this lovely green dress might have been made to measure for the First Lady, but good luck finding out).

Muy bien las dos. Ambas se han puesto algo fresco para el calor
ReplyDeleteLove the First Lady’s dress! Beautiful color and perfect linen for the heat. I know many will disagree but I wish the Queen would have worn a bit longer sleeves.
ReplyDeleteI don't disagree with you on any of your points. Well said on everything.

Because many of you do not know the culture in other countries. In Japan even a French slevees would be considrered odd.
DeleteWhen you travel and visit more places in the world you realise that your thoughts are not universal.
In Italy only nuns wear sleeves, it is as you reconise them
Luciana.
I love this dress, especially the cap sleeves and even the slightly uneven hem is okay. It looks cool, comfortable and chic. Not so keen on the beige shoes. I like the colour of the Korean lady's dress and like Tulipe33, I think it's a good style for her.
Queens dress is very nice, the combination with those endless high heels is nót,
ReplyDeleteJosh
First lady's dress and shoes are wonderful..
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand,Queen's outfit is a no..
The pattern doesn't suit her complexion, she definitely must start to wear slightly longer sleeves, the shoes are not the best choice but the worst for me are her hair style..The Queen has beautiful, healthy, well groomed hair..Grey hair are not flattering, and the bun makes them look kind of old fashioned..
Her posture saves the day,at the end..
"She must start to wear longer slevees"? in a country whrere almost nobody wears them and it is considred ninnish. Maybe visiting your country, not in Spain or Italy even my grandma wears a strapless dress.
DeleteLuciana
The ballerina bun is old fashioned? I think you have lost the last fashion weeks. And grey hair is not flattering for you, I know lots of women very elegant in her white hair, instead of others with blonde burnt bottle hair.

Ty and Luciana,I shouldn't answer your anonymous comments but i will..
DeleteI am Greek, today is 30o C,my grandma didn't wear strapless, she wore black and she had a bun..I am 53,and i wear strapless only on the beach..
I gave my personal opinion, for the particular outfit of a wonderul Queen..
Why you bother????
The lady in the black printed dress next to the Queen also with abbreviated sleeves, is the Minister of Defense. So the Spanish women in the picture do not favor sleeves. Perhaps it is indeed a cultural thing. July
DeleteAnd the Countess of Wessex is wearing a sleveevesless dress in London today, she is older than Letizia..
DeleteCulture or no modesty?? LOL..
😂
I really like the dress of the First Lady, beautiful color and classic fit, the skinny belt with the detail is perfect.
ReplyDeleteLove this dress. Mary I
ReplyDeleteMe encanta, sencilla , elegante, cumpliendo cada dia,
Deleteadmiro su trabajo,
Letizia's dress is very pretty and looks great in her. I do not care for the First Lady's green dress. Linen shows wrinkles at their worst for pics and I find it rather shapeless.
ReplyDeleteRenee
Agree with you, Renee. But I must say, and I said it before, the Queens feet look tortured. Let's look at the Lady in the blue patterned dress, her sandals look perfectly fine with her summer dress.
