Maje Paris Floral Print dress
Love this dress, happy to see it again. Such happy colors, and the flowers look fresh, not fussy. Her hair just looks spectacular. King Felipe always looks so handsome.

ReplyDeleteYou have to hand it to Felipe and Letizia, they are active in public most days ! They have to be two of the hardest working royal couples in Europe !
ReplyDeleteThis dress is a miss for me. I'm not keen on the uneven hem line, or the prominent high waist band. Though I love the purple clutch and how it picks up the purple in the dress. Ana
Not a miss for her, would likely be for some other women. If every fantasy has to be rejected, clothing would be horribly boring.
DeleteLove the colour story, neckline, sleeves, and handkerchief hemline.
ReplyDeleteNot excited by the print and smocking at waistline, though not quite sure how I'd tweak the print?...
Despite my minor quibbles, Q Leti still looks fabulous!

Agree with you entirely, Bepa
DeleteIt´s a pretty summer dress, but I don´t think it ´s meant to be a formal dress. The uneven hemline, the elastic smocking at the waist, the overall floaty breezy style just doesn´t work for business, and even less so for an evening function. I think this dress looks best with flats and a beach bag slung over the shoulder.
ReplyDeleteMore color, and a purple purse! This dress always looks better in motion and the print is not overwhelming for her small frame. Time to break out all those lovely dresses from last summer. the exhibition and the location look fantastic. Thumbs up RL!

I like the colour and pattern of the fabric but to me it just looks like too much dress or too much going on for her slender frame. Frilled above the waistline shirring, uneven hemline, cross over fullish bodice above the raised waist, somewhat puffy upper sleeves. I think with an even hemline even if it was the longest length it would have looked much better. Alternatively leave the uneven hemline but take some of the fullness out of the upper bodice. my preference is the last one
ReplyDeleteBoth the print and colours here are a nice change for the Queen. I particularly like the shirring at the waist, which draws in the volume of the dress to suit Q. Letitia’s slim figure. (V.M.)
The rich shade of green is lovely and flattering, the floral pattern is also nicely done, not too overwhelming. However, I do not like the hemline, for me it ruins the dress. I am not a fan of the asymmetric/handkerchief hemline trend in general, it makes skirts/dresses look somewhat sloppy. In this particular case the handkerchief corners are way too long, creating a strong low-high contrast that is visually unpleasant - for me at least. A straight hemline, in my view, would have been way better, the dress has already a lot going on, didn't need the silly hem distraction

What a beautiful, green dress. The style is so chic and the perfect choice for this occasion...dressy and formal enough...not casual at all.
