On June 16, Dutch Queen Maxima visited the buddyprogram of Villa Pinedo in Maarssen, the place for children with divorced parents. Villa Pinedo offers children and young people with divorced parents online support and advice. The mission of Villa Pinedo is to make a positive change in the lives of children with divorced parents. Queen Maxima spoke with the founder and employees of Villa Pinedo about the creation of the buddy program. Queen Maxima wore a paisley print linen dress from Zimmermann.

Why write then? What fashion-related information do we gain from you declaring that you are speechless? (-Ann.)
DeleteThat dress looks just like a bathrobe I had when I was a little girl!

I quite like it. But the bell sleeves drag it down; there's already a lot of paisley (which I love) and enough fabric in the voluminous skirt. Narrow sleeves would've made it look much better.
ReplyDeleteNicely accessorised though! And a wise choice wear linen; it was a tropical hot day in the Netherlands.
I quite like it too but couldn't quite spot what was off about it. I agree with you about the sleeves< Rosalyn. Perhaps a bolder colour of shoe as well?
DeleteI agree with you Rosalyn. It is a nice dress except for the puff sleeves. Another style of sleeve would have elevated the look so much more.
DeleteI like the colour and the fabric print, which together with the long row of buttons and the collar give it an Asian feel as well.

6th photo, messy hair, please use a brush, pull it into a ponytail, braid it, an updo, would do you fine or better yet, get a sleek bob. Cali
ReplyDeleteMáxima in a lovely floral dress. Really elegant. I would have chosen different shoes in a different colour
ReplyDeleteEverything looks nice except the hair.
ReplyDeleteI like this Zimmermann dress. Great color, love the buttons and mix of fabrics. Styling lets Maxima down.

I like her dress a lot…she loves very nice! Judy
ReplyDeleteThis dress just confuses me. Too many styles trying to come together in one piece. It says old Victorian, Japanese kimono, Parisienne night robe at the same time. But it does fit her well atleast. Nice earrings. Terrible hair.

>>Too many styles ..... old Victorian, Japanese kimono, Parisienne night robe<< You put in words what I felt was off with this dress, but couldn't figure it out. And I also agree with your last words: "At least it fits."

DeleteThis is boho urban chic style, even though I must confess that I am on the fence about the overall look in this case.
I quite like the colour of this dress, but not the earrings and her hair... well, she could have done much better.
Anyway ,I do like her smile and her mere cheerful presence.
Have a nice evening.

Very nice dress. She looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is fine.
ReplyDeleteAbout the hair, it looks messy on 2 pictures taken outdoors; other ladies look also a bit messy... On other pictures it just her style, and she likes to change hair styling.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is beautiful but the earrings are too much for this kind of dress patron. As a result, the outfit to my eyes looks overcharged. Both, dress snd earrings on their own, are nice.
ReplyDeleteI agree . Sans earrings she would have looked just right.
DeleteThe dress does look like a bathrobe. The flower earrings and her hair are quite bad.
