Queen Margarethe looks lovely in full cream, with the large picture hat; definite sense of Summer. CP Frederik and P. Christian both look dashing - Frederik in full uniform, and Christian as a smart trendy teen, complete with a tight, outgrown suit, lol. Ah well...

ReplyDeleteWonderful that HM is with Frederik and Christian for this important occasion! Nice to see Christian beginning to make official appearances to learn more about his future role.
ReplyDeleteI think that the Danish royal family behaves in an exemplary manner and that the still young Prince Christian is continuously used to his duties. In contrast to the Dutch
ReplyDeleteRoyal house.
Yikes! That white skirt Daisy is wearing is a bit too see through.
ReplyDeleteKind of a Diana see through skirt moment.
DeleteYes. That is terrible. As queen, she has the right level of help to prevent those situations. ~d
DeleteYes, a "Diana" moment for sure; same with Mette Frederiksen in the last photo. Time to slip on a slip again, ladies. Nice to see the young man Christian with Margrethe & Frederik; hope to see more of him. ~Laurel~
DeleteWow our Bundespräsi is alive and kicking. Haven't heard much of him lately... love, love, love Margretes costume. It's fresh and summery and just perfect for the occassion. Have to admire her courage to wear a hat in this windy conditions. Scarlet Witch
ReplyDeleteHer Majesty looks very stylish in all white. The "piece de resistance" is her large hat!
ReplyDeleteFitzhugh: You are right, but it makes her her bit pale without a stronger make-up in my humble opinion. But the skirt is quite a bit risky, ha ha :) B.t.w.: I do wonder about the "masquerade": sometimes on, sometimes off. So what?
DeleteI think Queen Margrethe's white ensemble is very attractive, see-through or not. I love her shoes. It's a shame the wind interfered with her hat. Crown Prince Frederik looks very handsome in his uniform, and Prince Christian, I'm sure, is a heart-throb of many teenaged girls. I agree that he's outgrown his suit. He seems very interested in the program. Queen Margrethe looks good in the red dress in the last photo. Wish we have a view from the front. Also, I really like the blue coat/dress of the woman in the last photo.
ReplyDeleteReply to self :-) Yippee, more pictures! I see that the red dress was actually a coat which covered this lovely floral dress. I really like Ms. Budenbender's blue and white graphic print gown, thought she might have been a bit overdressed.
DeleteI have to agree with all you comments! I do think Queen Margrethe looks great (I love the large hat). It is nice to see Prince Christian, and looking so interested.

ReplyDeleteShould have worn a slip. Did not want to see the Queen's thigh and undergarments today. jj
ReplyDeleteLove the hat! White is not necessarily her best colour, plus the all white outfit incl shoes, handbag and gloves is a bit to much. That being said it certainly brings elegance on a high level. And love ❤️ the hat!
ReplyDeleteFrederik’s uniform incl bling is a bit too much. Young Christian is interested and smiling well done.
Prince Christian needs a haircut!
ReplyDeletePerfectly summery but not a great fan of the all white outfit. The shoes, though, are fantastic and a massive improvement on her usual frumpy footwear (I understand why she wears the flat shoes before anyone objects) The red coat and floral dress, on the other had, are lovely and another pair of smart shoes. Great photos of Prince Frederik and Prince Christian together.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, interesting!
ReplyDeleteI think there might be some credibility to the rumours that Margrethe is about to abdicate. They've started to bring Christian to events - perhaps as training for life as Crown Prince?
Prince Frederik looks so handsome in uniform. What a fine looking man he is. The Queen looks marvellous, love her outfits. Prince Christian has grown into a charming young man.
