The dinner that was attended by the representatives of the said states took place at Frederik VIII’s Palace in Amalienborg.

I did not think it was possible for CP Mary to look frumpy but this dress in my opinion accomplishes this. She has a terrific figure and this dress does her no favors. Too much material in the middle.
ReplyDeleteI see no real reason to be so tough on this dress; it is still in the trend "come back of earlier years". She wears it beautifully and the shoes are quite nice, it fits nicely for the occasion.
DeleteMary looks great, everything is assembled beautifully. Her dress is a timeless classic. Mary I
ReplyDeleteAgreed. She gets full marks again.
DeleteAlso good marks for recycling (dress worn in 2016)
BUT Prince Frederik is wearing an ill-fitting suit AGAIN.
Agree. I also like these feminine dresses.
DeleteI think princess Mary looks very classy. I like the style and colour of the dress . Prince Frederik is very handsome. - mjt
ReplyDeleteCrown Princess Mary always looks fabulous. And Crown Prince Frederick is a cutie, lucky Mary.
ReplyDeleteI agree she looks great as usual. I really like the dress. Prince Frederick is a very handsome man!
DeleteI agree but he should stand with legs closer to each other.
DeleteNot a fan of this frock the first time around. It hasnt gotten any better the 2nd wearing, though her choice of shoes was better. She should have worn stockings/nylons. Her bare legs/ankles do not look good. jj
ReplyDeleteCrown Princess Mary looks lovely even though I don't much care for her dress. More former dress or suit would have been better choice. I really like Estonian Foreign Minister's dress.

ReplyDeleteI don´t really like floaty floral dresses, but this is one of the better ones in my view. It doesn´t have any of the frilly features (ruffles, pussy bow, uneven hem, ribbons, trumpet sleeves, tiered skirt, shorter lining etc.) that often turn these dresses into messy seas of floating fabric without anywhere for the eye to rest on. This one is fairly well structured and has a nice silhouette.
ReplyDeleteHer shoe choice is definitely better this time around, although they again look painfully high.
Beautiful outfit - goes with the interior decoration.
ReplyDeleteOne of the few misses from Mary. For a dinner like this a Sunday-in-the-park kind of dress is just an uninspired choice. Dressy (painfully high) pumps don’t make it better, in fact they draw attention to the discrepancy.

Oh, and yup, goes with the decorations, but it’s a dress, not curtains... 😀.
