On the occasion of the launch of the first birthday stamp of their son Prince Charles, Prince Guillaume and Princess Stephanie received Claude Strasser, CEO of POST Group and Emile Espen, Head of the POST Philately Department at the Palais Grand Ducal. The representatives of the Luxembourg Postal Service introduced and presented the first birthday stamp of their son to the Hereditary Prince and Hereditary Princess.
On May 10, the Luxembourg Post issued a series of special postage stamps. It issued a sheet of eight postage stamps, as well as an individual stamp and a postage stamped card with photo motifs of the young prince. The stamps retrace his first year of life – from the first images released by the Grand Ducal Court after his birth to his first birthday photos.
Available from the Luxembourg Postal Service, the special series called "First birthday of Prince Charles" was issued by the philatelic service of POST Luxembourg. The series offers collectors and interested persons a booklet of 8 special stamps, a postcard with stamp and an individual stamp.
This child has been so publicized ! A picture almost every day this past year and a tonne of events to celebrate his birth!

Wait, a picture almost every day? What did I miss?
DeletePerhaps the Luxembourgers feel the way I do about their delicious little heir. More, more more!
DeleteWhere are you seeing a photo of this little boy everyday?
ReplyDeleteCan I used the word "adorable" to describe stamps?
ReplyDeleteI think it is rather the idea or decision to have these stamps... particularly since stamps are going through a difficult period.
DeleteEveryday? I wish, he is the most adorable baby and happy it's a delight to see.
ReplyDeleteCharles, like his cousin Amalia before, is among the cutest royal babies ever. I really can see a rather strong resemblance between the two.
