During her visit, the Duchess of Cornwall was introduced to representatives from departments of the hospital including ICU. Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity provides specialist nurses and support to seriously ill children.
This is an OK everyday working dress. Nothing too special when a dress doesn't have to be. Gets the job done. A pair of pumps would have looked much better though instead of the boots, and would have elevated the overall look.

I would so love to have this dress working for me! I can see maroon pumps and a shell pink shawl under a big hat, or a long coàt and boots with a peek of glamour at the neckline ... Yes, I'll take one!
DeleteLove the colours in the dress fabric, and the beige lining of the neckline is excellent. The dress suits her well and the fit is good, as it is the classic Camilla style . But then the fabric gets too busy for my eyes, and I feel giddy looking at the fabric. Dunno ... - Ellie
ReplyDeleteLove this dress. She looks good.
ReplyDeleteAnd the reason for the visit was also nice.

Nice to see her in a totally different dress.

So agreed, happy to see her in some print. She looks good.

Nice dress unusual for her, but this time it does not fit at all with the boots...

ReplyDeleteI like the print. Wrong shoe choice.

This is a good style of dress for D. Camilla, flattering and easy to wear. I don’t love the heavy boots, but I’m assuming she wore them because some of the time was spent outdoors. She’s a practical woman at heart I think. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, V.M. Pumps would have looked better, but these boots must be more comfortable outdoors.
DeleteDress: fabric is too busy, neckline, odd.
ReplyDeleteBlack boots: chuck them out to the bin.
Hair: too bleached out, darken a little to look more natural.

The "chuck them out to the bin" is frankly exaggerated, they can nicely fit with a different outfit, but obviously not this dress. She seems to like them quite a lot. Already said, I like the dress for her. I don't think she has to bleach her hair, it has simply become white, maybe be some color uniformisation, not sure about a darker color.
DeleteI think the Duchess would have looked better had she stowed the boots and wore her pumps instead, but, otherwise, I think she looked terrific. I love the dress. The treatment of the collar is really nice, and the fit of the dress is perfect, neither too tight nor too loose. The rolled up sleeves are very attractive.
