Earlier this week, The Countess of Wessex visited the Royal Anglian Regiment to see soldiers undergoing immersive Human Security Training ahead of their deployment to Mali next month, as part of the UK’s commitment to supporting UN peacekeeping missions around the world. The Royal Anglian Regiment was formed on the 1st September 1964 and was the first of the large infantry regiments.

ReplyDeleteOutdoor jackets, most probably all of the brand BARBOUR are certainly getting a lot of (free) publicity from the English Royals at the moment.
ReplyDeleteThis famous English brand has been around for about 120 years.
Still a family run English company with the head of the company as Dame Margaret Barbour.
They are a "must have" if you are going for the English country outdoor look.
The jackets will outlive most of their owners.
Not expensive (compared to Gucci, Dior etc) and if damaged, the company has a repair and re-waterproofing service.
Nice to see tradition and quality in clothing being respected.
