Queen Maxima visited the leather company Smit & Son in Weesp on Wednesday afternoon, May 26 on the occasion of the company's 200th anniversary. Smit & Zoon is a seventh-generation family business. The company develops products for making and finishing leather. These are sold worldwide to tanneries for the production of bags, shoes, car upholstery and furniture, among other things.
During the visit, the Queen received information on the two hundred year history of the family business. The Queen also spoke with family members about the developments that Smit & Zoon has gone through. Then, Queen Máxima was given a tour of the laboratory and the factory hall where employees explained how leather is made and how the required products are manufactured.
I like the dress and coat, they look great. I love the fact she didn't go overboard with the jewelry (I was surprised she didn't add a huge necklace, and I love it). Her makeup looks great. I do not love the color of the hat and shoes though, just a little bland for me with the black and white houndstooth (I do like the shape of the hat though).

I like dress and coat too, but find the make-up way too heavy.
DeleteSmashing. The outfit perfectly reflects Maxima’s personal style. Amazing colors. The jacket is just the right length. -Siri
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with you Siri .
DeleteI agree as well. I think she looks great.

Nice to see a hat. Love the shape and it really suits her. Not sure if it quite goes with outfit. She appears to be taking a less is more approach on some occasions which so much better than massive spider brooches.

ReplyDeleteI'm not very fond of this look as well, although it's quite an improvement to her previous outfit!
ReplyDeleteThe coat over the shoulders is much better than wearing it, then you see it is too short to be elegant for a tall woman.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is lovely., as is the hat.

I like this outfit. Maxima looks chic today. I do think the coat and dress could be an inch or two longer. I don't like the color of her shoes and hat with the tones in the fabric. A plus is that because she has kept her coat on, we can't see if her dress is too tight, at least from these photos. ~d
ReplyDeleteThe lady in the last picture makes Maxima look oldfashioned, even matronly.

Te veel make up , vooral de ogen. Kleding nu al gedateerd, jas en jurk te kort, maakt dik.
ReplyDeleteWonder why you do not write in your native language and why you are always changing idioms with your translator.

Too much plaid on plaid. The hat and shoes do not go with the outfit. jj
ReplyDeleteI think the woman chatting with her in the long off white coat looks stunning and so elegant, very stylish indeed.
ReplyDeleteWonderful outfit. The colour of the hat is surprising in combination with the colour of the outfit and therefore love it. Dress could have been little bit longer
