    1. Agree about the shoes. They are a mismatch. Plain black had been better, and I can also picture dark brown, dark gray or navy blue to work well with the orange and white.

  2. As always, Princess Benedikte dresses beautifully. Her hair and makeup are perfect, and I like the turquois brooch and ring; the shoes not so much. But, the portrait is spectacular! I've never seen a portrait constructed in many parts and put together like a puzzle. It looks three dimensional. Very clever.

  3. Impressive portrait and I like the nice fresh colours of dress and jacket. It's always a pleasure to see her but I'm just sorry she's borrowed the Duchess of Cornwall's shoes!

quibble with the portrait. The hands are out of proportion. the artist painted her left hand bigger than the right. the artist also painted her with the lines around her mouth which draws her face down, rather than in drawing her with her beautiful smile.

Had to laugh at the duchess of C's shoe comment. jan

  6. Perhaps those shoes do not appeal to young women, but to women of a certain age they are stylish and comfortable. I love them!

Lovely when you see a woman of her age dressed classical & elegant. She carries herself well. Mary I
