Norway celebrated its Constitution Day on May 17 and the celebration was made smaller this year due to the pandemic. The celebration for the Crown Prince’s family began at their home Skaugum Estate in Asker. There, they participated in a short outdoor programme. Then, in Oslo, the Royal Family came out on the Palace balcony to greet the people. Afterwards, they attended the main event of the celebration at the Palace Square.
Afterwards, King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit drove out to some of Oslo’s districts to greet people. Afterwards, the Royal Family took part in the Boat Parade in the Oslo Fjord with the Royal Yacht "KS Norge". Norwegian Constitution Day is Norway's national day and is an official public holiday celebrated on May 17 every year.
Ingrid Alexandra looks so beautiful. I love her freckles.
ReplyDeletePrincess Ingrid Alexandra is as good looking as her father :)
ReplyDeleteIngrid is quite a young lady already, and she has become very pretty.
ReplyDeleteShe will be the smallest of the family, like Leonor, but I see that she has given a little "stretch" since we have not seen her. It's good to see all these little princes and princesses grow up
Susana
Ingrid is such a natural beauty! She looks a lot like her father and aunt (both of whom look like Queen Sonja). She seems very comfortable with her role as well, which is great :)

ReplyDeleteMiit Ingrid Alexandra wächst eine schöne Königin heran :)
ReplyDeleteJa, absolut!
DeleteI totally agree! She has grown into a stunning beauty.
DeleteIngrid Alexandra devient une jeune fille de plus en plus belle avec ses tâches de rousseur ; cela me rappelle ma jeunesse !
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! In the first picture, Ingrid Alexandra reminded me so much of Queen Sonja.
ReplyDeletePrincess Ingrid Alexandra is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe all family is awesome.
Ingrid Alexandra è molto bella
ReplyDeleteI always admire the traditional Norwegian costumes, all handmade and so beautiful !! Something very precious & special in my eyes... (What a pity that the King is on crutches.)
ReplyDeleteHallo Rainha, schöne Grüße ins sonnige (hoffentlich) Portugal! (Ich meine, wenn Sie dort noch sind...)
DeleteAnd I also appreciate Prince Haakon wearing traditional costume! Well done! So many times (not always but still way too often) the women are dressed up but the men are not; bit of a double standard! (I'm looking at you Sweden). :)

The traditional costumes are equisitely beautiful. Especially enjoyed seeing the CP wearing one. Usually the men don't wear the costume, but it is nice that he did and he looks very handsome. MM, lovely as usual.
ReplyDeleteAgreed!!!

All members of the Royal Family look wonderful in their traditional costumes. It is good to see Princess Martha Louise and her children, and Princess Astrid again. I agree that Ingrid Alexandra grows more beautiful, and favors Haakon, while Sverre Magnus favors Mette-Marit. Queen Sonja looks very beautiful as does Mette-Marit. I love these happy pictures. I've been watching "Atlantic Crossing," on PBS and I recommend it to everyone who loves the Norwegian Royal Family.
ReplyDeleteAtlantic crossing is total fiction and bullshit.
DeleteAnja, I know that Atlantic Crossing is fiction, though "inspired by real events," but I find that the parts based on fact, i.e., the war, the Lend Lease program, and the characters who are portrayed, are very interesting. It has inspired me to research certain aspects of that era, and I am more knowledgeable of the facts than I would have been had I not watched the program.
DeleteLiebe Coralie, dankeschoen fuer den netten Gruss! Sie haben richtig geraten und der Sommer darf kommen, fuer uns alle und ohne Grenzen!!! Herzlich :)
ReplyDeleteBit late to the party... but WOW! that first picture of Ingrid Alexandra. Stunningly beautiful. I agree with others who say she resembles queen Sonja in that picture; I never really saw that.
ReplyDeleteThe whole family looks great in their traditional clothing, and they seem happy and enjoying themselves. Very nice!
Ingrid Alexandra is truly stunning, similar to her mother, but with a lot of her dad thrown in.
ReplyDeleteI remember past years when their Constitution Day was obviously sunny and warm, bad luck this year...writing this as the rain beats against my window, spring is obviously not happening right now. :-)
Nice to see that Princess Astrid and Princess Martha with family are attending at one of the events. Lovely family.
ReplyDeleteNice to see them all in these beautiful dresses!
ReplyDeleteMärta Louise youngest daughter reminds so much of the kings sister, (who is also participating)
