On May 11, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia inaugurated a glass exhibition created by the glass artist Bertil Vallien at Solliden Palace on Öland. Solliden Palace's traditional summer exhibition will this year exhibit works by glass artist Bertil Vallien. This year's exhibition is the first to be held outdoors and displayed in the palace's garden, the English Park.
In the exhibition, which Bertil Vallien named Gatekeeper, the results of a long-term artistic experiment are presented. Bertil Vallien is Sweden’s most famous glass artist and designer. For over 60 years, Bertil Vallien has worked with glass together with Kosta Boda which is one of the world’s leading brands in glass and art glass industries. Bertil Vallien won numerous awards and is richly represented in the museums around the world.
Fantastic outing with cheerful attire, beautiful weather, and intriguing art, very nice to share this
ReplyDeleteSuperbe exposition à l'extérieur - La reine est radieuse, lumineuse dans ces couleurs tricolores dont le rouge qui lui réussit particulièrement - Adorable chien qui a l'air très sage !
ReplyDeleteNice pictures, Qn Silvia still being very cautious about her wrist.
ReplyDeleteRot steht der Königin seehr gut :)
ReplyDeleteLove the blouse and jacket worn by Queen Silvia.
ReplyDeleteThe red colour fits in well with the overall environment.
Would be nice to have some more details on the blouse.
King Carl Gustaf is looking as dapper as ever in his jacket.
Perfect fit. The tailoring is excellent.
I think his son-in-law, Prince Daniel, must be using the same tailor as the King.
The exhibition by Bertil Vallien looks interesting.
The sculpture is very modern and interesting. Queen Silvia looks lovely. Red is her color, I think. I love the dog, who seems to look up at the queen with adoring eyes in one of the photos. Her arm seems to be improving as she is holding the dog's leash in her hand at one point. King Carl Gustaf looks particularly handsome.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks lovely as ever, but still definitely holding her arm/wrist in all of the photos. Sad that it is taking a long time to heal, hope for sake, it does heal.
ReplyDeleteThe exhibit is 'different' to say the least.
The King's jacket looks to light of color to go with navy pants, and then the maroon tie, with a brown hankerchief in the pocket does not match anything.
