On April 29, 2021, Danish Crown Princess Mary attended a meeting with the Mary Foundation, Children’s Welfare and Save the Children Denmark about the school well-being program called Our School Strength (Skolestyrken) which supports schools in their work to create well-being and prevent and deal with bullying in school. The program involves - as the first school well-being program in Denmark - all actors in and around the school.

Our School Strength offers a holistic and systematic approach to the work of strengthening communities, promoting school well-being and curbing bullying from kindergarten to 10th grade. The program is based on the individual school’s current activity in relation to well-being and offers the school help in finding out what it must work on specifically.

  2. This is the fanciest school based meeting I've ever seen (LOL). I just love how loaded that table is, what a gracious hostess. Mary looks great, that top looks beautiful on her. I love the soft colors against her dark hair. Her hair and makeup look lovely as usual.

    1. And look like this meeting in the interest of children and their well-being has been funded by Coca Cola.
Seems to be a good supply of it on the table.
Or hopefully it's another Cola type drink with a bit less sugar.

  3. I am not fond of the blouse; and not really appropriate for the occasion.

Nice blouse, though somewhat overdone for the business daytime situation. More appropriate for a more festive event.. She must have done something to her face, looking so plastic. Fillers, Botox? Her hairstyle is too long and brashy coloured.

    1. I disagree. The blouse is perfectly fine in this setting and her hair is beautiful. All these comments on her face - I think people have missed that she is no longer wearing glasses. Maybe she has had some eye surgery that has puffed up the area.

I don't think she had eye surgery. We will see her with glasses again soon. She likes to change her looks. Btw I had eye surgery and it does not make you look like you had fillers / botox.

@Lotte: I like that one, eye surgery that puffed up her cheeks in the middle of her face.

  7. Neck of the blouse is a bit too high but nice design. Hair are starting to be too long and shapeless.

  8. This is a beautiful, soft feminine blouse, its very becoming on the Crown Princess Mary, she looks lovely.

  9. I don't understand the objection to Botox and fillers. Why wouldn't she have these treatments? She is a public figure who is judged on her looks, and she has a husband she wants to be attractive for. Yes, I think she has had "work" done and I think it looks good on her. In my eyes it's better than too many wrinkles at what I consider too young an age. Maxima is starting to show her age, and I far prefer Mary's solution.

Mary's hair has always looked perfectly styled, although the coloring here does appear a bit dark in contrast to the pale blouse. The blouse is lovely and feminine, and I think it is perfectly suited for this type of business meeting, but I would have preferred it without the scarf or tie at the neck. S.M.

Your stance that mature women can only show themselves in public if they got plastic surgery done is appalling. So otherwise they need to be ashamed of their natural faces and traces that come with age and better hide in the basement? What about Queen Elizabeth or Princess Benedicte? They both have aged gracefully and are not adraid to show their natural features all the while daring to perform their public duties marvelously and being respected, loved and admired. Should they better resort to Botox and fillers like Mary? And according to you Maxima showing her natural features should emulate Mary's botox and fillers or hide in the basement as well. Interesting.

This pressure and unnatural demands you are placing on women is unhealthy and stems from a distorted sense of reality, brainwashed by the beauty industry and their cruel inhuman standards.

Mary's hairstyle is too artificial and the blouse overdone for the occasion. There are ranks for different types of events.

@Susan: Benedicte and the Queen are from a different generation when these procedures were not as normal as nowadays. I have no objection either to having work done. And if you think that Maxima is totally ‘natural’ you have not an eye for detecting fillers. All the present female royals have had their share of ‘procedures’, except maybe P. Caroline. They have the money, access to the best cosmetic doctors and they are constantly in the public eye, so why not. Botox and fillers are becoming rapidly as normal as putting on some make-up, which also was considered unnatural 100 years ago by the way. The only thing that really annoys me in this respect is the fawning over ‘natural’ royal beauties when these women, in reality, have had tons of work done.

@Ava. Thank you. And to put insult to injury: all of these ‘natural’ royal beauties have had very expensive work done on their teeth as well. And that is a procedure which is less accessible for ‘normal folk’ because of the amount of money involved to make it look this good.

@Deadeggs... there are other beverages on the table, water, and what looks like carafes of coffee or tea, I am not a soda drinker myself, but why be so critical? Or shall Coca-Cola be banned?
I love the blouse, and although is on the dressy side I don’t think is excessive.
Yes, she is needing a haircut, but I am sure she’ll get one soon enough.

My impression of Denmark, having family there now, is that the nation, as socialist, is corporatized in a way that makes me uncomfortable as a progressive. This product and offerings in Denmark do not surprise me.

CP Mary's top should be donated. It doesn't fit and it's too bulky at the neck to be elegant and too sheer for daywear. Her colleagues all look very nice and pleased to be involved in this work.

@unknow, what are you talking about? What products, offerings? You are talking about the drinks on the table? If so what does that have to do with socialism, progressives, liberals, conservatives etc., I am confused about your comment and a little disturbed about the notion that you think women should donate clothing that you do not approve of....really!!

@ C. I am with you, what happened to moderation, free will and good choices.?
I am a little uncomfortable when people talk about banning a products that of course they may not be a healthy if taking in large quantities but is perfectly all right when consumed discretionary. Ridiculous!!
