On April 27, 2021, Queen Mathilde of Belgium visits the exhibition "The world of Clovis. Merovingian Itineraries” at the Royal Museum of Mariemont in Morlanwelz-Mariemont. The exhibition offers a new approach to the Merovingian period, during which the European society of the High Middle Ages was forged. Queen Mathilde wore a silk satin midi dress from Gabriela Hearst.

I think it would've looked better if the fabric wasn't made of silk. Or it's simply the cut that doesn't fit.
ReplyDeletePity, this burgundy colour suits her very well!
Beautiful , The color is so lovely, the purse, mask and shoes compliment the dress so nicely. This is by far one of Queen Mathilde's best looks I have seen lately!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous look for Queen Mathilde. The dress appears to be belted in the same fabric which becomes almost invisible and that is a good because it does not interrupt the long slim line of the dress. Her shoes are gorgeous and the bag and mask in a matching color are nice too.
ReplyDeleteTerrific dress/shoes/bag/mask etc. The pattern of the dress hides the belting, which leaves her with a clean long look. Lovely! cali
ReplyDeleteI agree, and also with Ava
DeleteThis is a stunning, silk dress. The colours are amazing. Love the accessories, perfect choices.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Debra and cali! The perfect solution to Mathilde's desire to wear a belt is this invisible belt. Patterned to match the dress, it is barely there and not disrupting the line of the dress. Terrific! ~d
ReplyDeleteLes couleurs Bordeaux et blanc lui vont très bien mais je trouve que cette robe est trop ras-du-cou et de plus, la ceinture -à peine visible- est trop haute ; choix judicieux pour ses accessoires !
